I have your "AMD Dream build" setup I have the Crosshair Formula IV and the 1100T 6-core CPU and I need to know what RAM i should pick and how much.

I am considering picking http://www.corsair.com/memory-by-product-family/dominator/cmt4gx3m2a1866c9.html

but is there anything better or more "future proof" for me?

This is considering i will be buying around xmas time so any new releases will be ok for me.

Thanks in advance for your replys.

I don't think you can future proof ram... In the Future you'll just have to buy more RAM. The RAM you have selected is really good.

I was just wondering... Are you going to put an aftermarket heatsink on your CPU? You might have clearance issues because the heatsinks on the Corsair Dominators are fairly big.

right now i have the arctic cooler v2 and if im going to get anyhting else its goign to be water cooling (for the ram too) so im not really worried about the size.

I was wondering whats the difference between this and their vengance series because u can get more and cheaper ram from that series.

If your going to be water cooling the ram, you may want to look for ram that don't already have heat sinks on them, the thermal adhesive they use to put the heat sinks on are a pain to get off lol

Check this article from Anand:

I know you will be running a different platform but the differences won't be too major across platforms.

The basic premise of the article is that for gaming performance, there is little to no difference between PC1066 and higher; just buy from a company you trust.
