Power Supply Selection

Hey there all, i am buying a new build for my pc in a few months time and have drawn up a list of everything except the power supply, as i am unsure of the wattage required, the new build stands as follows

AMD Phenom II 965 quad core
Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 motherboard
MSI ATI Radeon HD5770 1gb OC GFX X2
Western Digital 300g Velociraptor X2
Team DDR3 1333 10600 2gb module X2

my current power supply is 600 watts i know an upgrade is needed yet am unsure as to how much more i need, please leave a post with your suggestions

1. Get a 955 be-same product for less $
2. Axe the velocirap's-they are expensive and loud. Get a 128gb SSD and a big regular HDD.
3. 600W will be fine.

your system takes about 450W in max load.

PCI-E port can deliver 75W(x2) and 6pin power cord is another 75W(2) (if u use CF) And that CPU takes about 125-140W's.

So.. 1 card need 150W max, and two cards 300W. Parts cannot take more Amps what the "rails" can deliver them.

So 600W powersupply is more than enough.
