a while ago when i was on my computer all of a sudden my monitor wouldnt receive any signal. So i thought it was a graphics card fault. I then took the card out and put it in another computer. It worked fine. Then thinking it could be the motherboard so i put another card in the computer and it worked fine. I then thought it could be the DVI to VGA adapter since the monitor cable and the monitor were fine and everything else was fine.
but guess what...
i ordered a new DVI to VGA adapter
BUT STILL the monitor had no signal
Please help :(
I think the problem may be a imperfect connection between something inside.
I had the same exact problem minus the adapter on the old pc. The old pc was 1.6 Ghz , 512 mb ram and 512 gpu, so i didn't really care about it. One day i encountered your problem and i said to myself " Too bad, time for a new one" and I grabed it to take it in the basement but i tipped on the internet wire and i dropped the pc Really hard. 3 days later, no new pc,so i had to see if the old one maybe changed his mind and would want to work again, Guess what? It worked.
Try reassambling everything, if not take it to a pc service center.
ill try that then :P
thanks for the help
Have you tried to use the monitor on a different computer? using the same cable of course.
