Microsoft and Logitech make some good ones. Check out the Logitech C910 in particular. You should be able to disable the built-in mic through the software if desired.

The latest webcam from Logitech is the C920 and it's USB3 ready :) If you want best bang for the bug go with a Logitech 520.

Yea, mic can be disabled via software, through windows or the webcam software.
