I am wondering if it is wise to upgrade my video card in my Computer.
Specs:
Motherboard: Asus P45 P5Q-E
CPU: E8400 3.0ghz
GPU: ATi 4850 512mb
RAM: 4gb DDR2 1000mhz
PSU: Corsair 750watt
Display: 22 inch Samsung 1680 x 1050
Games I would want to play:
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Battlefield 3
Right now, Bad Company 2, I am on DX9 and High texture, High models, low shadows, and medium/low everything else. My fps is like 50 and up....
I would like to be able to play BC2 and BF3 on DX10/11 with high graphics, AA, all the bells and whistles. If I were to buy an ATi5850/5870/6850/6870/6900 or one of the Nvidia cards (not as familiar with their models now)...would I be able to run these two games maxed out with my cpu/ram?
Willing to spend $200 around release of BF3...
Thanks,
Davis
A 6850 would be a nice upgrade from what you have now. It should play quite adequately for the resolution you are running.
