Folks my question is do you think this fan would do well on a Phenom ll X6 cpu.
I do not over clock my systems
case: Raidmax Blackstorm ATX-615
psu: Raidmax Blackstorm series RX-700ac
motherboard: MSI 790FX-GD70
cpu: Amd HDT75TFBGRBOX PHENOM II X6 1075T
ram: G.SKILL RIPJAWS 8GB DDR3-1333 PC3-10666
video card: GIGABYTE ATI Radeon HD5830 1 GB DDR5 PCI-e

If you are not planning on overclocking, any aftermarket cooler will just be the added cherry on top. You would already be fine with using the stock but you will notice lower temps and less noise when going aftermarket so that's an added plus.
It really depends on what you do with your computer.
Do you play games? Do you render videos?
If your CPU is often under high stress and high temperatures, I would get an aftermarket cooler. The stock cooler is "just enough."
An fascinating discussion is price comment. I think that it's best to write more on this matter, it won't be a taboo topic but typically persons are not sufficient to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers

Aaaaand we get bot spammed!
The cooler is fine and will work well with your systems. Phenom II's were never known as hot procs, to my knowledge.
I used to use one on my i7 920 and it kept that cooker of a CPU under control, and it looks good to.
Off Topic:
Love how every time I make a post, I have to use a word verification. Obviously it doesn't work.
I get CAPTCHA'd about 1/3 the time, but I think that has more to do with my posting pattern. In other words, I don't think I have to reverify if I'm posting in multiple threads in relatively quick fashion.
