Hard drives question

I have a question about hard drives. I am building a pc and want to know what to choose when it comes to hard drives. Should I get 2xWD500AAKS and configure them in Raid 0 or should I get one VelociRaptor? I also have another question: If I do put them in Raid 0, do I lose all my memory, so I would have to reinstall all my games?

1. Get the 640GB Caviar Blacks in RAID0 instead, slightly higher reads/writes than the 500GB models.

2. When configuring a new RAID array yes, you will need to format all the drives meaning all data will be removed from the drives before the array can be made.
