Hey Rod, would you be reviewing the Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Case Fan?
I've made the decision based in this:

They have more information about the fan:

Probably not, but looks like a great fan :)
Heh. Took you long, huh? Well, mine's pretty loud unless I use one of noise reduction cables.
I've never used them myself, but have had a couple other fan sets come through that looked really close. Perhaps rebranded?
Low RPM, around 1400, airflow wasn't huge, but I am one of those builders who doesn't leave a fan port empty, and 2 in (one on the front, one on the side) 2 out (one top, one rear) left us with a well ventilated system. The CPU cooler was air on that machine (SB i5-2500K, stock cooler) and the system stayed well within safe operating temps. And it was QUIET.
My main rig is currently running 1200RPM fans (2 120mm and 3 80mm) and it is quiet enough that I can hear hard disk activity, or when the CPU/GPU fans speed up. Even overclocked I tend to sit within 55°C range at load (dual-core Brisbane Athlon 6000+ OC'd approx. 10%), which is excellent for a nearly silent system. I'm also not using Scythe brand fans (my 120mm are Rosewill, 80mm are AeroCool) but the design type is similar for airflow near what Scythe advertises.
