Hello all,
I havew an xps 730x overclocked. It has the H2C liquid cooling system in it which after 14 months of having this comp the cooling system has sprung a leak. Now the comp does not start. I have looked over the motherboard and was relieved to find that the cooling system did not leak onto it. Now dell wants over $1000 for a new cooling system. I am wondering if anyone has come across other cooling systems to replace this liquid cooled one. Any suggestions would be greatly helpful.
Thanks
Hey Man,
The Dell XPS 730 H2C is very specific to the case, You are going to have a tough time adapting something to the dell motherboard. Dell usually just offsets the holes on the board, or something so a stock cooler wont fit correctly, maybe they changed but this was the case in almost all the dimensions i worked on.
I would hit ebay, there are H2C coolers there now for sale
If you dont go that route, dell had a air cooling solution for the 730 as well, for those who didnt want to dish out the cash, it should be the same case, just a different cooling configuration.
Good Luck
Mike
So you mean there's no warranty on the liquid cooling after only 14 months?
Unless you purchased dell's extended warranty, you have only 1 year. Good luck convincing them to replace anything outside of warranty for free.
i overclock my amd 1055t @ 3.7ghz the temp is 53c is that good and can i overclock it some more im watercooling it
