does anyone else have a problem with the horizontal scroll bar disappearing from the bottom of Chrome? If so, is there a way to fix it?
Chrome is ok on my 2 config, never had that issue...
the bar will disappear when it is not needed
try zooming in
when it disappears, it will come back if I fiddle with resizing the window, but it has to be JUST right
Odd, try uninstalling, reboot and install again.
The bar should be visible at all times when the page is wider than the window, and go invisible when the page fits. I agree, as this isn't a feature that can be changed via configuration, uninstall, delete the Chrome directory entirely if anything is left over, reboot, and install a fresh copy.
is there a way I can do this without losing my bookmarks or plugins?
Yes. If you gave a Google (GMail) account, sign in at Google.com, and then your Chrome bookmarks will be backed up to your Google account. They will be restored when you sign in on the new install.
I actually use this feature to sync my desktop and laptop, so I have one browser and one set of cookies and one set of bookmarks that mirror on both.
You can also sign in using the wrench icon next to the address bar.
its chrome sync
ok, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, but I still had the same problem. Then I noticed the Norton toolbar at the top. I closed that and it solved the problem. Oh, Norton, I love you yet you annoy me so much sometimes....
