do have to reinsall windows 7 when i replace my old motherboard plz help

hi i have a gaming computer with windows7 and the motherboard die on it in xp i heard you had to reinsall xp and buy a new wndows key in windows 7 do i just put in the new motherboard set the BOIS and insall the new divers plz help me
