Keep Your Computer Awake

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a program that keeps the PC awake and disables and enables the screen saver with the click of the mouse.  I need it when I watch Internet videos and other times I want the screen saver not to activate. 

I'm thinking of using a program like Caffeine.  Any other freeware programs for windows that have a similar function?

There is an easier way to do that. What OS are you using?

Windows XP SP3 . 

Also using Internet Explorer 8 with compatibility View turned on if that helps any.

What I do is put the computer into sleep mode. This is faster to wake and resume operations rather than booting windows every time you walk away and come back. Other than that you can try setting the monitor power and screen saver options that are inside windows to match the length of a movie. If you are away for longer than that period of time just put the computer into standby sleep mode.

I sleep fine at night knowing we are banning people who deserve it.  Tivon
