how do i make it so ALL programs install to the hdd but not the ssd by default. I've already changed the directory but i lot of programs want to install to the C drive.
can i change the letter of my main drive?
you can't change the main drive... when you install a program, you need to choose the path of installation manually... (you need to select the option custom install)
you didn't read the "change the letter of my main drive" not "change my main drive "
I did is
http://www.3dgameman.com/q-and-a/406/change-installation-directory-windows-7
but some by default install to the C drive not according to the directory
ha ok :) sorry for that... i know you can change the letters of your drive with: http://www.itechtalk.com/thread3400.html but i don't know if it will change the path or simply continue to install in program file but with ex: "F"/program file...
Well I'm thinking if i change the "C" drive windows might freak out and nuke itself
Also i do change the drive when I'm installing a program but the program still wants to store its data on my main(SSD)drive. Any ideas?
what kind of program, maybe it needs some data in the same directory so it install with the system32 folder...
origin and itunes so far
i just built my new pc so not many so far
i'm sorry but beside the Rodney's manip i don't know any other method of doing that... Also, i don't know why this won't install in the new directory cause iTunes work well in other folder (had mine in my music HDD)
