I just got a new Fortissimo III and I will say right now, (Creative take a hike you Pudd Knockers) This card eats my SB platinum alive!:hail

What I got for $49.00 compared to $160.00

The sample rates are rated at 20bits. Unlike creatives who's 24bit will fall back to 16bit. (They don't tell you that on the SB box).

The Yamaha GTX software sounds great with Midi. The drives installed on a XP box like silk! Finally no more SB driver headaches. I ran my music through Musicmatch Jukebox, I can say wow, the sound and feel is way better.:banana

The 7.1 outlets and digital connections are spaced the right distance so no more jamming you inputs in.

All in All I can say Hercules got it right for $49.00 retail.:beer

Though it's basically just a fortissmo 2 with 7.1 support it's still a good card (judging this by Fortissmo 2 reviews since it's essentially the same) Though I really don't know unless your an audiophile that you can really tell the difference between 16 and 20 bit sound IMHO. Ah well enjoy your card and happy gaming :thumb
