I had the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) out of a 97 Cavalier the other day and was amazed when I found an Intel Flash chip on the PCB...

That Intel chip you see on there is called a HINT chip.

It gave the Voodoo5 6000 what all other VSA-100 based Voodoo cards (Voodoo4 4000, 4500, Voodoo5 5000 5500) didn't have that being actual AGP support.

It supported AGP 4X as well as side band addressing and Fast Writes... too bad it never made it to market seeing as it was an NV15 Killer (GeForce 2 Ultra).

6. FX first introduced, becomes biggest laughingstock of internet overnight, many photoshop opportunities appear.

6. 9800 pro announced

7. step 4 repeated

8. Nvidia focuses on NV35 and barrels out PR to keep people convinced that it is the leader of the cinematic revolution
