Look at your bill, it should say, if your service is like ours up here in Canada, they charge you a network fee, 911 Service Fee, ect .
if in doubt, call the provider for an explanation

See I dont feel like calling them you know why???
I called before a couple times and simple questions were forwarded to a "Tech" who forwarded it to the "Tech Station" who then answered how to send tech messages, that took 30min outta my life!!
911 is free
etc... I mean I dont know this guy said "No Hidden Charges" I looked and I cant find a DAMN thing on it to see what the heck I could be charged for!!!

I work for a CC department for a wireless provider. With all due respect, if you don't call them you will forever live in ignorance.
So you didn't have good luck with one rep. Call back again and get another phone monkey (referred to as rep shopping). Don't mention you've called before regarding this because they will look in your acct notes and just follow the same steps as the previous rep. Play the *****, and just calmly innocently ask wtf those charges are for.
My thoughts are taxes. 911 is fee to CALL, but there is a charge assessed to every wireless phone regardless of carrier for access to the 911 service. Remember you are on wireless service, so some system has to be setup to switch your wireless call over to the local emergency services. For example, if you're in New York, these systems would prevent you from getting the 911 for Boston or Jersey City. There will also be other taxes. Americans are charged for National, States, and Municiple taxes, as well as some other regulatory fees.
To make a long story short, stop complaining here and CALL YOUR PROVIDER!

Screw the phones then, write the company directly. Start written corespondence and leave a nice paper trail.

I bet they are all the little extra "Al Gore" charges the govt. adds like they do on wired phone bills. It's supposed to pay for putting broadband in schools and things like that, that you have no say in. It's why he lost his home state. Check the little access fees. They add up.
