i voted for 6~9 hours a day, but the way i read the question was "how long in one sitting". meaning without leaving the puter for other than going to the restroom or wutnot.
if you were asking how long am i on my puter total in a 24 hour period with leaving and coming back throughout that time, i'd have to say at least 18 hours, gotta eat sometime lol. ...huh? sleep you ask? umm, yah, if i can fit it in.
......i have severe insomnia :(
and bad eating habits,
i haven't eaten yet today

During the week : About 8 hours.
(Get in at 4pm, online till 12pm, bed, up again at 6am, repeat cycle)
During the weekend, it can vary.
Most of the time if I'm bored, I'll be on the PC for anytime,
ranging from 12 hours upto TGM's impressive 18 hours!
But I usually sleep for about 19 hours after that, no joke!
I usually miss Sunday day, and wake up sometime in the evening.

Ouch! Are you still doing early morning feedings too? Our Alyssa is breast fed, which means she feeds every 3-4 hours. My wife loves the computer, but other than www.thomasthetankengine.com, she probably hasn't surfed in a few months now!

From what I hear, he's "Rolling Along".
"Thomas the tank engine rolling along...
All of his friends will be pulling along...
Thomas we love you,
Thomas we love you,
Thomas, we looove youuuuuuuu"
Man, I've heard that song SO many times in the last month! Scott is very into Thomas right now. The scary thing is that he can't read, but he can identify about 20 different trains on the show visually now. It's scary how much detail kids pick out.

Sounds like me on a Friday or Saturday night.
I look out the window and see day light and think:
"It can't be another day already... "
And then I look at the clock and think "Ok, so it is! ARSE!" :)
9-12 here. I am on the net 9 hours a day at work. and sometimes i get online when i am home.

8 - 10 at work depending on how dedicated I feel that day. Trying to make it less so I can keep our son occupied while my wife studies.
He loves for me to play PlanetHotwheels online. He is getting really good with the mouse picking where we are going to play next. Not too bad for a 3yr! We can be at that for a few hours!
And then there is his DigsnRigs game he plays all by him self, we just need to fit the controls over the kybd.
Then the regular surfing, looking for computer parts or selling stuff & building 3 water cooled rigs is keeping me more then occupied lately.
Dang, why is that pile of laundry so high? Honey, have you seen any clean clothes? Ouch! (as shoe flies across the room hitting me in head)
At least the weather is getting warmer so I can start making the kitchen cabnets this year. A hubby's work is never done, & even less done when you are not doing it!:surrender

But some days I have to take it easy because my carpal tunnel is really bad...

Apart from crappy speeds you only pay for connection here - 25c! I pay £13 a month for a "Anytime" connection which gives me unlimited time online with just that flat charge. Add on top of that a line rental charge and its coming to roughly £25 a month i think. ADSL, when my areas exchange is upgraded, on the 23rd of April is only £30 and cheaper from some suppliers!

Diapers solve the restroom problem, minature fridge and hotplate took care of the food problem; however, I found that an I.V. keeps my hands free for mouse/keyboard use. :Wink

Question for everyone: how do you get the stat graph to show up on the page where you get your speed test results (where it shows the three lines)? My work computer shows it, but my home computer does not. I get around 1.9 megabits at home, and I'd post the pic, but it doesn't look as impressive without the nice bar graph...
(Unless it's because I'm on cable inet at home and on DSL here - would that be it?)

I noticed something - if you have other Browser windows running it can slow down the test.
Also I always set the Modem to max in control panwl to get the best speed but of course on the System tray it will always show up as the Theoretical Max (I am Pair gained so it always shows as 31.1 Kbs) even thought the test result came up as 9.1 Kbs. (Eventually got a best score of 27.1 KBbs.
Couldn't even be bothered attaching image as it would take so long!!

Tried that last night and it still didn't show up for me... The weird thing is it does it in both Netscape and IE... You would think they'd have different enough settings that it would work in one and not the other...
Oh, well, I'll keep working on it...

Oh, well, I'll keep working on it... Maybe, your system isn't accepting cookies. You got an ad blocker turned activated?

Nope - I don't have any ad stuff at all. And I know I've got cookies turned on because other sites (like this one) remember my info when I go to them. So cookies are on, no ad stuff or pop-blockers... Just weirdness...

Over 9 hours. Sort of a side effect of working graveyard. Have nothing else to do on the days off.

AHAHAHAHAHA... you think that is bad
this is bad. This is supposed to be 1500Mbit d/l and 256Kbit u/p ADSL. Just to show you this is Bellsouth.net and I have called them over 100 times and we have yet to ever get above this. They have come out tons of time claiming that they fixed something. Nothing changes or stays changed for over 1 week. GOD!!!

I do quite doubt it will ever be like that with the bellsouth.net service provider who also owns the phone lines.

it aint just them that has a bad infrastructure
they need to go and redo everything since you guys never get the speeds you pay for
What is funny is they lied to us many times. Said that we would get the right speeds but they knew we were out of the loop length max speed limit for ADSL. We are at 19800 feet when the max speed limit is 18000 feet and Bellsouth has done no preventative maintenance on their lines. They need to replace the copper wires to the main main boxes with optics and then replace the old copper to the connecting boxes with new copper.
Hey... the cable, phone and electricity companies are government regulated monopolies... they should be able to do something cause they got da moniez
Specially when we are getting DSL light speeds and paying price of full ADSL. $55.00 a month is our DSL

Asian country rocks.
In Korea, a 6Mbps broadband line is very popular and inexpensive.
Same with HK, what speed is JCYC5 on again? 3Mbps or was it 6Mbps?
6-9 hours aday active on the site ... reading and writing ... but the window is up 24/7 on 2computers so that I'll get some variety :D
