Which should i chose??

need an opinion...the computer im going to be getting is going to be a black case with a silver face, my monitor is going to be black with a silver face....so here is the deal....which keyboard should i get?? black or silver?? will post a pic of both and you can tell me.....

I would go with black if it were me. Two reasons:

1) From your description, it sounds like most of the surface area of both your case and monitor will be black. So I would keep the scheme consistent. A black keyboard with perhaps a hint of silver will look really neat. A silver keyboard in my eyes won't fit in with the rest of the stuff and would look odd to me.

And:

2) WazLady has a black Logitech corded mouse with silver buttons and a black Logitech Keyboard Elite keyboard to go with her black case. Both the mouse and keyboard have silver accents, but they match the case much better because there's so much black already. She's also planning on getting black drives to match the case and a black monitor. In fact, they look so good, I'm thinking about getting the same combo for myself... Or maybe I'll just switch mine and hers... :D :D :D

Anyway - I would go with black for those reasons. Oh yeah - one more - I like black.:)

Also - the silver keyboard with black buttons reminds me too much of the old keyboards from the early days of computing - the old terminals and such. I've never personally liked that look.

I voted black from the description you posted it sounds like a black keyboard would match up the the rest of your system. Maybe a black one with hints of silver would look really great.

I happen to like the Logitech Cordless Elite Duo. Altho I dont own it (yet) its what I want. All the reviews of it have been great.

i personally own a black case and live in a very dusty place. my chinchilla really kicks up the dust, lol. anywayz, my case does tend to get a bit dusty, but it's not like it's huge inconvience. i'd put up with dat anyday to have my black equipment. i'm going to mod my monitor and paint it black with some nice vinyl dye as well. my next keyboard will be black too.

i think you should get teh black keyboard. i think it will be easier to match up the black with other black equipment than the silver colour would be to match other silver equipment. plus, i just like black a lot better than the silver, yah, that's why you should get black, that's it. *nods head* :KICK ASS :KICK ASS

Hmm...that's a toughie choice. But in the end I voted for black.

It looks like a shiny silver. Maybe the shiny part might go a little dated after a little while, I'm not sure. Maybe I'm wrong about the shiny part :).

Black can be a little dusty, but nothing a swiffer cloth won't handle ;).

I have to confess, now that I look at pics of the rest of your system, I'm a little on the fence. I know I said all black cause it goes with most of the surface area, but once I saw your whole system I'm not sure... With the gray on the back of the speakers, either one might work.

It's basically up to you and your personal preference, but I think maybe with your setup, either one might work.

So I'm really no help at all, now am I? :D that's a nice keyboard frm teh reviews i've read. it actually has more buttons than the wireless desktop version. i'm considering this elite usb keyboard myself. only thing i'm worried about is that a couple reviews said the volume and such lagged behind when you used them too fast.

i want something in a keyboard that will match my MX700 :KICK ASS

so anywayz, my friend MGE did a killer review on the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop (http://www.3dgameman.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10664). it looks sweet as all hell, but it's very expensive b/c it uses a new wrieless standard call Bluetooth. this is the new standard that's out for a wireless desktop. it's the same thing as RF (radio frequency, which at 900mhz), like our old cordless telelphones are, but it stepped up to the 2.4GHz RF, like our new tlelphones have. wut's really cool is that you only plug one reciever into your computer and you can run multiple decvices off of it. like a usb hub kinda. we can finally have wireless Printers!! yay!! hehe. i hate those silly mateing wires.

I haven't tried the volume control, but I do remember reading that too. I'll try it tonight and see what happens (I usually keep it pretty low because I'm on after our daughter goes to sleep - and it bugs Wazlady too much. So she plays really wierd music to get me back).

But I'll try it at home tonight and see how it works...

i've got the logitech cordless one "logitech desktop optical pro" it comes with an cordless dual optical mouse , the keyboard's battery's last long , but didn't like the mouse with battery's .. the battery's will last about 3 weeks ,so i've buyed another mouse with cord ..and i like it this way.. if you can buy only the keyboard .. i would choose that one .. but thats up too you :p

I like the black keyboard in this case. Too much plastic silver looks cheap. It's okay from trim and small areas... but too much, looks like poo, poo caa, caa.

Too much black and you'll be seeing too much dust. I know this, my Viewsonic E70fb needs a daily dusting. Not a big deal but it does look like **** when I forget to dust.

REALLY late to this thread, but I've been looking at wireless keyboards so here's my two cents.

Voted Silver, though you could easily go either way. I think the silver keyboard might go better with the silver fronts...

I really like the Microsoft Bluetooth Desktop TheGeekMistress mentioned. The drawback to these is they are Windows XP SP 1 only, they seem to be discontinued so they are hard to find, and many folks have had them "disappear" from their system with no warning... never to get them back. I love the look and feel however, and wish I could try one myself.

But if your looking for a deal on Logitech keyboards and mice, just look here...

Since keyboards are fairly inexpensive it may be best to have 2 keyboards. One you use for lanning and one you keep at the homestead.

I do this with my keybaords, keeping one in a box with cableing and other components. Plus if you dont particularly care for one or the other then you can switch them :)

But I think the silver would look dead sexa with the black and silver monitor and matching case. :)
