Fact is most giveaways/contests I've had the one condition is that you have to be a registered 3dGameMan.com forum member to enter. Also, before the winner is sent the item(s) that is verified.

What I mean is that all the people who sign up just to enter the contests usially end up winning. I wonder if Efer has won? Or Berger or any of the other frequents that call these boards home.

I just don't see anyone that makes any signifigant contribution to these boards winning the prizes. I could be wrong though. As I don't know everyone's real names.

Either way it's a contest open to all who meet spec. It really doesn't matter who wins. Just so long as stuff like this continues to promote these awsome boards.

IMO the membership is fine. The 250 post is kinda wrong. I think that may leave alot of your members out. If you are member you should be able to enter the contest. Sure someone could find the site sign up for free membership and win but at least they took the time to sign up or I could just start posting more.

I'm not calling any one a sub-bridge dwelling monster. Just can't stand that someone who contributes nothing to the boards has the chance to win something free.

Well..since this seems to be the hip happening post tonight..just thought I'd drop by and say hey-a. I could certainly use a poster...*starts looking around room for spot*...I just need to make a bit of room. As for the post count thing. I think at the end of summer you should take something from one of your VRs and instead of auctioning it off on eBay, put it in a contest that is only open to people with 1000+ posts....kinda like a big contest to award the faithfuls. :KICK ASS. I know it would give me motivation to drop by more often.

Not to sound ungratefull, but i'm sure this will come out that way. I would think that with over 2 million visitors a month and all the advertisers that you have that you could offer up something a little bit better than a Lian Li Poster.

You have gone from giving away decent prizes like CPU's, Cash, Tshirts and Jersey's to giving away a "POSTER". I'm sorry but this just seems a bit tachish too me.

Have you ever perhaps stopped to consider that there are certain costs that come with hosting a website that is host to several hundred movies? Rod doesn't sell off the items on Ebay just to turn a profit, he does it to keep the site alive.

I hear ya, but shipping cost is the issue...

Sending even the smallest parcels to SOME parts of the world (Canada/USA) can cost A LOT of money. Therefore I only send to Canada and USA. Also, keep in mind MANY contests/giveaways from other sites/companies ship only within the US or Canada. Although this doesn't help you :(

also its a red, just the flash on the camera distorts the color a bit, and that mod is a 120MM fan blowing 91CFM and i have one on my CPU blowing 131.5CFM, check out my sig

actually both the 120mm's are quieter than my tornado 80mm, thats one of the reasons i switched to a 120mm heatsink fan on my MCX-4000, it blows almost twice as much air, and is about 10dBA quieter

the tornado 80mm is like 55.4dBA loud, and the YS-Tech 120mm is only 44dBA, tornado blows 84CFM, 120mm blows 131.5CFM

Meh....if you read what the problem was you'd realize that it (As far as I can tell) is more than likely very easy to fix...besides, even though they've filed for chapter 11 they still have a customer support center running...and I'm sure who ever buys the Rio brand will keep the support going....I'd fix it myself but I don't have right screwdriver, don't want to break it further with my lack of knowledge of electronics, and now have a valid excuse to get something new :D. You can't get the mint ones? Oh, man... They're the best! Yeah, I am allergic to a lot of stuff, but chocolate's one of the worst. I can eat a little bit of it, but it makes me sick if I eat too much... I'm lactose intolerant too, so it's a double whammy - I only eat chocolate at home where I know I'll be able to deal with the after-effects...

I mostly just emailed there sales department reps

if u define hardcore as a person that spends every waking hour in front of his computer..(i have a WiFI-Laptop for the bathroom/kitchen/on the porch)..then yes..MY day consists: get up, check email, goto school on laptop during most classes, eat lunch while on my computer, get home check email/forums and see if VR's up, play MOH:AA and make sure that the clan isn't pissed off and that the anti-cheat hasn't banned people for stupid reason's. then i play MOHAA for the rest of the 5-7 hours until mid-night then i check the network and server status's and finally spin my chair around and fall onto my bed..

AND BTW Whisp[TR] yes they do give the stuff away free but not for people to put in there computer rooms in there basements.... they want business people, Hence my use of my companies name C&S computers. of which i started last year as a high school business project and it actually is starting to pick up as a real business, of highschool computer science students fixing and building computers..CHEAP

Then there is the partnership of the review site that we are going to be starting(just going to be basic but I will have full access to any computer part in the store and then some from the warehouse).

and also had a tasty business dinner last night (had some shrimp, mushroom and triple cheese pasta. hahah always the triple cheese) but we discussed me working there and mangerial once business picks up to the point of n excutive in the company since it like 4 stores now and growing

so finally my luck is paying off

and its costing me nothing since there investing into it sort of like sponsors also have 3 computer company manufactures whih will be named once the official webpage is up which im not making so who knows because all i know is frontpage and it sucks and we have one of his friends that is like an expert at it making it for us

so all is good

work on computers all day long.

fire up desktop's.

check e-mail, check forums.

fix any personal computers I have been given to repair.

get tired.

shutdown desktops.

lay in bed.

my record was last year pre/at/after quakecon...i was up on thursday to drive there. there on firday after noon NO SLEEP, then setup and checked out the display's and other people's computers. saturday BYOC ( living on coffee by then), saturday night the torney's started and i had to crack a case of joltz...sunday morning almost dead..Raided the booth's for posters and banners.. sunday night started to pack up and i finally broke into the cans of red bull...Monday morning drive home 15 hours later i'm home..and the back seat has approximatly a case and a half of red bull and joltz.

TOTAL WAKING TIME : 104hours

i dunno if our clan is a bit different than the norm or not, but we don't stick to one game, we stick with each other mostly, the games will always change depending on wut everyone wants to play. i've talked to a couple other peeps and they say they join a MOH clan and then they joined a ut2k3 clan or wutever, i dunno. am i rambling? i'm soo tired having been up since 11:30pm last night. yah, i've never stayed up the 104 nours you have, but i don't sleep well and i was awake for 36 hours from monday until i slept for 3 hours, then awake for another 20 or so hours, then sleep 5 hours, then up now for 16+ hours i know i've lost some hours of my life in there somewhere, but i'm too tired to tell, lol ...and i'm running on empty. i wish i wud just sleep normally, i'm sick of this crap.

personally if i could figure out a way to reduce the amount of sleep i needed without useing chemicals aka. Caffine drinks.. i would defiently try it..i really can't see y a body even with all the proper vitamins and nutrients and then some can't stay awake.. i think that people are programmed to sleep and we shut down after a certain amount of time in the dark or just plan awake..

I have studied my own sleep patterns in the summer time and in my lab/lair/basement i have no windows and i live in a 28-32 hour life cycle(time that my body takes from sleep to wake to sleep). Which deffinently doesn't co-enside with the worlds view of a day.. so as it is people are over worked and underslept. but it is possible to compinsate for the reduced vitamin-D with suppliments..
I'm starting to believe that vitamin - D is almost like a biological sand timer and when we run out, AKA. too much time in darkness or awake, we just shut down. much like all of our battery powered machinery...

P.S. vitamin - D other then absorbed from meat and dairy products is produced naturally by the body and a reaction with the Sun's gamma and alpha rays

B: ) i had it left over from when i got a lot of 5 for about 13.50 CAN dollars a piece and i used them all... so i sold the 1800+ system i was using to feed this buget..more parts that are coming are going to be in the sig a little later tonight yesterday i didn't have time to finish typeing all the HTML code to make all the link and bold all the stuff... writing that out is like typing this sentence 3 times to get the link in it..
C: ) I have the air fan duct also got them in a lot.(EBAY RULEZ) so the performance basicaly works out to being the same and a little better..Plus i have a 92mm case fan basicaly feeding directly into the cpu fan.. in the end i get better temps for the dollar with the 9+..

i bet you would get better cooling if you put all that stuff with a volcano 7+

one reason being the volcano 9 just has a copper insert in the middle, but the volcano 7+ is pure copper, and in benchmarks, the volcano 7+ beats out the 9, and almost matches the mcx-4000 intel heatsink

i've never thought about the size.. i just liked that i had it and it was partially mine..(the array is for my dad's 3d/auto-CAD program's to crunch building designs).. and that on multi-system processing i can process a dvd into any format in under an hour...Including rip-time 15-25mins..mind that is if it's run on the array..

might want to remove the dvd ripping from you sig Nah, making backups of you're own stuff isn't considering warez talk around here. (At least I don't think so). It's the breaking of copy protection schemes, serial number swapping, and distributing of software that is frowned upon.
