The two albums they released from the sessions wound up winning Grammys. It's kind of embarassing. Let's just say they weren't country and they weren't pop, and leave it at that. :rofl2 (It was kind of like losing your virginity, then finding out your partner got pregnant from it. It was a great thing, but...) I just happened to be in the right place, at the right time. It's been 15 years or so since then anyways. Maybe it should count as a best and a worst. :rofl2

I'll probably end up getting a 9800PRO 256mb anyway. I like ATI's 2D quality.

nVidia will undoubtably be bigger (rumour has it they're going for blocking out two PCI slots with their next generation). But the only thing I find impressive about them is the sheer amount of noise they manage to give off...how DO they do that??

I am waiting for the NV35, NV40, NV45, NV50, R400, R450, and R500 because the Geforce FX, ATI 9700 pro, ATI 9800 pro is to slow for me.
You may ask why. Well because i want to beable to play in 1600x1200 in all games with maximum details on the highest settings, maximum FSAA, maximum AF, and a minimum of 60 fps with all those settings! :)
Yes i am serious. Minimum fps will always be the most important fps.

I, three, agree to that.
Now that makes me wonder, would we ever stop upgrading because we'll eventually reach the limit? That's of course, unless manufacturers start making cheap monitors that supports like 2048X1600 or something. Otherwise, our hardware will reach wat is sufficient for ALL of us, except for those few out there who dish out a large chunk of dough just for bragging rights.

Computers will never be fast enough for me! :)
I want every computer task to be done in 1 second or less someday! Even video encoding, burning a cd, dvd, etc.

Worst:
Well, let's see... I'm 30 in 5 months, so I'd have to say my worst moment would have to be 29 years and 7 months.
Best:
Well, let's see... I'm not dead yet. So catch me after that and I'll let you know.

What pension? I don't have any pension... I don't have much of anything, actually...
Good lord!
You don't even get a state pension?
I have a private one set up, but due to me being un-employed, its frozen at the minute, but I used to put £100 a month into that.
So far its 5 years old, so there is something like £3,000 in there so far, and its going to be sustained till I'm 60 ;)

No we don't get state pension here in the US. You do get Social Security when you turn 65, but people in our generation we cannot depend that it will be there when I reach that age.
The company I work for I do have a 401K plan and I do have a company paid pension. The longer I work there the more I will get after I turn 55.(When I can claim that)
The US is a great place to live, but really sucks on HealthCare which is mainly run by what insurance companys want to pay and really no public transportation system. If you live out in the country like Wazman and I do. You NEED a car.
I agree with what Artcwolf said, I do have health insurance and dental. But we still pay up the ying-yang. Like my health insurance has a $250 decutible, after I pay that then they pay 85% of the doctor bill. I pay 15%. For instance, I had my daughter 4 years ago. Total bill was about $10,000 with hospital bill and all 9 months of tests and office visits. I paid about 3,000 total. Which doesn't seem like alot compared to 10grand, but still alot when your scrapping by to make ends meet.
I still think its messed up you don't get medical insurance for free by the government.
Thats one of the main things thats stopping me from emigrating over there.
