I do believe that a gut bomb is a hamburger or other greasy fast food. I think White Castle and Krystal Castle are fast food hamburger joints (don't have them where I live).

There are a couple of good hamburger joints that I like. If you want a national chain so that someone else might recognize it, I like the Chili's peppercorn burger w/ Avacodo Ranch dressing. Extra dressing for the fries, please.

There are a couple of smaller joints that have really good hamburgers. I don't really care for Micky-D's or Jack in the Crack burgers.

I've heard of White Castle and Jack in the Box from that tainted
e-coli beef scare a few years back.

I'd have to say an A&W burger or a Twister from KFC gets the nod from me if there is nothing else around :).

In the little village of Hinkley Ohio, rests a small, smoky tavern decorated by the buzzards which made the village famous locally. Inside, you'll find a "Hinkley Burger", which is a burger that weighs roughly 3 pounds after cooking. Slathered with cheddar cheese sauce, sauteed mushrooms and onions, topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mayo, it is by far the best burger to be had, anywhere. It is truly a beast among burgers.

Wow, slathered cheese sounds so beautiful. (mouth watering)

If I had to choose between one of those two, I'd choose a Slider (White Castle) over the other... I've never even heard of the other.

But my all-time favorite burger is the McRib from McDonalds... I love anything barbequed. I've said for years now, if just one fast food restaurant would add a barbequed sandwich to their permanent menu, they'd clean up...

We can get a delicious version of McRib in the cafeteria as part of the lunch menu on every other week at the hospital. You are soooo right, wazman, Mmmm, they are good :)!

At the grocery store, you can also get them in the frozen food section under the President's Choice brand name as well, yumm yumm.

We are really good at making each other hungry around here :devil!

Anyone like to BBQ burgers here? You've gotta try this.

Add sauteed onions into the burger meat, along with worchestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Don't forget the Montreal Steak Spice and garlic powder! Chili flakes for a kick.

Mush into patties along with a beaten egg to keep things sticking together, and grill away :). Baste with bbq sauce near the end!

We like to grill big cloves of garlic on the bbq as well. When they are cooked you can spread garlic-y goodness right onto the burger by splitting open the cooked clove. Mmmmm Mmmmm!

Usually that does the trick. If you use really lean beef for your burgers then adding a single egg helps the meat stick together.

What's with this term grilling?
Must be a US thing, my Lady uses the same term

When you're outside cooking your food... That's a "Barbecue" or BBQ for short, same words apply - what you cook on and the event itself

Waz's, if you like "grilling" now, you should try in Dec, Jan, and Feb... some how BBQ meats taste better when you've been standing in a few feet of snow, it's - 30, and you got a cold beer
(because the beer helps you measure the time between flipping the steaks and removing them... if you get my drift) ;)

You don't use a fork to turn your meats over do you? Use tongs.

I'm gonna have to try this on the BARBECUE!!!!!!!
the grill is just a part of the BARBECUE

As I said a BARBECUE is an event, not just a thing

Meats and vegetables cooked on an open flame are meant to be savoured, enjoyed, whether on a sunny day or deepest blizzard(unless you have so much snow packed against the back door you can't even get outside)
A BARBECUE is the man's only trustworthy cooking domain, briquets or propane... we shall strive to provide the ultimate outdoor cooking experience for our families, Of this I vow!

Thank goodness there's left over steak from todays BBQ, I have supper for tomorrow... and Lady C has her Ribs
