Try watching every episode of Trigun and Cowboy Bebop.
Then go watch every Dominion Tank Police movie followed by War of the Gods.
Erm.. Let me see.
Then go rent every Galaxy Express movie (if you find them to buy PM me.)
Um... I think that's about all that'd I'd really suggest you see. Other than Akira which you've already got listed.

it depends totally on what you like? did you really like sailor moon all that much? If you did, you would probabally like more shojo "girl" oriented. don't get me wrong, allot of guys like this too. but the shonen types are really cool! like vampire hunter D, or *******, or any other more brutal type, they are just awsome. But I like trigun allot, I haven't seen all of it yet. But I plan on buying the set, Therefore it earns the "IM [H]ard" stamp of approval. But I recomend you check some more anime out man! If you just head on over to sputnik7.com you can see some free of charge, legaly. Just trying to add to the anime community...later:)

My sister is a big anime fan and got me to watch the end (last 2 episodes) of Evangelion (spelling?). The anime and music were great...the only problem is that neither of us have seen any of the episodes so we had no idea what was going on...any help?

A) There are genres?
B) I would recommend: Trigun and Cowboy Bebop. Both of these are beautifully animated and have good stories. Also great action. Cowboy Bebop also has a movie, don't remember name but I know its rated "R." I used to watch these two every night until they stopped showing them (now :( *cries*.) But Cowboy Bebop will be back on Cartoon Network [Adult Swim] back in september. Lastly I would recoomend Rurouni Kenshin. Again has a good plot and good animations. It also has fight scenes (which are pretty good) but does not advice killing. Unlike the other two I recommended. Kenshin takes a pact to never kill again after he was the "Man slayer" arg long story. Thats about 3 -5 days worth of anime nonstop.

I had a friend that is still going through intensive psychotheripy because of the ending.
Anyway, some of my recent favorites include; Spirited Away, Princess Monoke, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Love Hina, Evangelion, Saber Marionette, Fushigi Yugi, DNA2, Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure. Some of the classics I will always love are: Ranma 1/2, Tenchi Muyo, Ah My Goddess, 3x3 Eyes, Bubblegum Crises, Kimagure Orange Road, Dirty Pair, Tank Police, Akira, and Macross. -- I hate to admit it Marmalade Boy.

haha...i have no idea....its just a fine blend of guitars, robots, guitars and robots coming out of a guy's head.....and other stuff that makes you question the creator's sanity....it has high replay value because more than half the time you don't know wtf is going on

Yeah I liked Tenchi a lot better than DBZ. Its storyline/plot I found funny. But it was just too long and it got used. I'm not saying its bad, just watch the first series, not Tenchi In Toyko.

Yeah, I like the different iterations of Tenchi for their own reasons. But I don't like the fact that each series is a different "universe"

How can it be in a different "universe" if they go to Tokyo!??!?!? (like 3rd installment of the series)

well the final eps of eva (not End of Eva) kinda make sense if you think about it. But the movie is just strange. I luv Love Hina. Ranma 1/2 was good too (it's really loooong, like 7 seasons long) but once you get past the random changes of gender its a fun series to watch. Cowboy Bebop was cool. I recommend watching Excel Saga, it's hilarious! Gundam Saga is excellent, Gundam Wing is the best of all. Theres so much out there it's hard to list all the series.

Finally my kind of topic.
I have various favorites in different categories.
Teenage Life/Romance:
Marmalade Boy (my absolute favorite now)
Boys Be
To Heart (okay maybe a bit too kiddy for most)
Magical/Adventure:
Fushigi Yuugi
Tenchi Muyo
Oh My Goddess
Action/Sci-Fi:
You're Under Arrest (one of my top favorites before Marmalade Boy)
Sakura Wars
Gatekeepers
Gunsmith Cats
Comedy:
Love Hina
His and Her Circumstances

Nope. First, The TV Series lasted 26 episodes. Next, Death and Rebirth is largely a summary of all TV episodes plus a backstory featuring what happened in Antartica which started the whole thing. End of Evangelion is like an alternate to Episodes 25 and 26 as an aftermath of the TV series where the 3rd Impact happened.

If you like anime I'd also recommend looking into manga. Like Real Bout High School, Love Hina, Chobits, etc. You get a story slightly different from the anime as well as scenes that were cut out.
