View Full Version : Screw Burger King

As I waltzed into the local Burger King during my break, I purchased a nutritous meal consisting off a Sourdough bacon cheeseburge, fries, and a Dr Pepper. :)

Now I can only enjoy fries when I have sauce ... so I politely asked the manager if I could have some BBQ sauce with my meal. She says "Did you order chicken tenders?" .. I said No .. she says "Condiments that are not ketchup are 10 cents per packet now if you did not order chicken tenders." ...

Now I am making pretty decent bank at my summer teller job, so 10 cents isn't really anything. But instead I politely stated "F@#% that" and I left with my sauceless fries.... but from now on Burger King is gettting NADA from me .. BOYCOTT!!!

If I remember correctly, Burger King's mascot is a hand, outstretched in friendship...

With the middle finger confidently upraised...

That's how they always treat me, anyway...

Now is that all burger kings? It could be the particular one you go to? The burger king near me seems fine about my orders. (Dont get me wrong im no patron of fast food, but when your short on food in the fridge, subway is just a few quarters too expensive, bk is right there for ya, especially with the whopper! :hail )

Now...if you excuse my I'm going to give my fussy battery backup a thorough beating and mail the remnants to APC. :smash

I've got a uncle that works in a meat packing plant. Cough Cough.. oh the things he would say about Burger King and TacoBell. You know there are places in the world where both stores can not open shop because of the quality grade of their meat.... enough said.:Holy Crap

Then again.. you need to look at it from her side. She is only charging 10 cent and I'm sure it's a store rule from high up. I hate to say this, but a lady manager is like a lady cop. Your going to eat that ticket or 10 cent fee because it's just the way they are... Next time if they ask you if you got chicken say "YEAH.. I got the Chicken right here!":lmao

I like the Burger King Whoppers. That is all I really like from them.

Plus, all their employees seem to be the bottom of the barrel "Got Fired From Everywhere Else" type...

But the 10 cent thing is probably a company rule. I know at McDonalds they are free with anything.

I love Subway!!

I love A&W's chubby chickens. Mmmmmmmm

They are sometimes quite weird though. Like for example, "Can I bear size my root bear?". We usually make fun of them by say "Grizzely size the pop please." or "Moose size the pop please."

But I can never get enough of their Chubby CHicken!!!

Yeah...A&W is a Canadian based chain out of the good ol' centre of the universe (Toronto)...They've tried a couple times to expand into the good ol' U S of A but have failed at least 3 times...though they seem to be slowly succeeding now...

Oh..and I can still proudly say that I have never, not once, in my entire life, eaten a Booger King Hamburger!

ch0g0nda
06-22-2003, 01:54 AM
Nor have I! But then again I'm really quite afraid of those "fast" food places.

I've gotten food poisoning twice from A&W and almost once from Burger King (I bit into a chicken burger of some kind only to find pink that rivaled that of... erm... you know.)

And McDonalds gives me stomach cramps every time I eat there.

Seems KFC and any of those chineese grills are the only places that can satisfy me without leaving me doubled over.

Yup, I remember those very very faintly. You would drive into a parking space that had a hamburger shaped menu next to it, and a girl on roller skates would come out to take your order :).

They even had A&W coloured thick parkas for the cold winter, lol. That wonderful brown and orange combo..

In NC we have some of those drive in's. They are called Sonic. Ever heard of them?

Good old KFC. What is funny is that someone in ROTC will be getting the rank of Colonel at the end of the next school year. And, here is the funny part, his last name is Sanders.

For burgers... I only give lip service to Wendy's. If I have the time, I'll go to Peter's Drive in on 16th Ave (Calgary)
A Real authentic type drive-in, a menu for hamburgers that it would take a month to go through if you went everyday, and they're not stingy on the fixings

Outside of Cgy, I recommend the Burger Baron in Vulcan and the Rockin Robins in Red Deer. There's a pretty good place by the race track in Balzac (just West of No 2 highway)

We have a few A@W's around here in TN. but they are in with
other restaurants like KFC or Long John Silvers. I too remember
the good old A@W drive'n restaurants from when I was a kid I
loved the frosty mugs of rootbeer. The A@W restaurants now
days just are not the same now you have to go inside to eat or
go through the drive thru I liked it when they brought your food
out to your car. I love the draft rootbeer but it just doesn't taste
the same as it did when I was younger but everything changes
over the years I guess. I always get a gallon of it to go when I
go to where an A@W is and take it home a pig out on it.heeheehe

draft rootbeer = mmmmmmmm dat some good stuff eh !!!!

but what about the Spicy Chicken.

But if my favourite person who I fixed their computer is in at Chick-Fil-A, they give me free chick-fil-a. good food

I was working on this lady's computer and I found out she owned the Chick-Fil-A fast food restaraunts in Charlotte. So, now every time I go there she is trying to feed me. She won't let me pay for it.

That computer job for her cost $150 for the work. She was so nice. She fed me at her house too and her son was a senior at the school I attended. They were all nice.

It's got cheddar (you know the plastic processed stuff), Jalapeno Jack, a patty, tomato, lettuce, onions, a really good smoky spicy something sauce all between a 'Ciabatta' bun which is basically a rather chewy bun...tastes better than the styrofoam that they use for all the other burgers though....

For the spicy chickens, it depends on if they cooked them right. Sometimes they leave them in too long and the taste not so spicy and sometime they leave them in just right and it is good.

And sometimes you build up an immunity to spicy stuff and the other stuff is less spicy to you.

If they are not spicy enough, I could go down to Myrtle Beach and buy you a 10 or 12 pepper hot sauce.

It requires that you sign a release form before you can buy it. It is strong enough to eat through metal. Spicy enough for ya? Drop that onto a Spicy Chicken.

Posted this earlier in another thread.
