I don't get to drive it :(. Its a basic working floor model. But it looks just like what the Evo 9 should look like.

Evo is supposed to compete with new WRX sti, right? SO Im sure the new evo's hp will be in same range as the new wrx's. Which is 300+ :jawsdown

They might have been released in Hong Kong but I doubt it. I'm not sure if the meeting is the US entrance or the Evo 9 world entrance. But I think you might be thinking of the Evo 8 (great car too.)

Ya, the EVO IX isn't out in HK yet. Only difference between EVO VII and EVO VIII seems to that EVO VIII has a longer front to pass Emission/Crash test in the US because of the front intercooler. And perhaps the engine is a lil more tuned than the EVO VII.

EVO is my overall affordable favourite car. It'll probably be my next car when I turn 25 (when insurance gets cheaper, which probably will be like EVO XIII or something) Have anyone seen the BBC show "Top Gear", they were comparing between the WRX STi and EVO VIII. It was a good review. I like the new WRX headlight, but I certainly hate that huge scoup on the hood for the intercooler.

I just cannot wait to see Tiff Needell test drive the Evo IX. Just thinking of the power slides and spins he will do just reminds me of the pathetic driver I am:Crying (Plus I don't have one only makes it worse)

I'd take Egar's car over the Evo 9 AND a WRX STi anyday.

It's such a lovely car, Egar...

Where do you live again? I need your address and a diversion to lead you out of the house.

I was looking through an Evo 8 brouchure. And the Evo 8 is a good car, and some computer companies should be like Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi incourages people who own the Evo to mod it and make it a better car (cough overclock cough.) Anyways I think the Evo 8 is $22,000. And for a new high-performance car that can do 0-60 and stop in 115 feet is quite impressive. Its in the league of the Porshe 911 but for a less price. But it needs some tuning up to make it a great performer. Blow-off valve is a bit weak.

Base price on an EVO in US is 28,987US, to me, EVO is one hell of a performer even at stock. Obviously it could be better with a slight bigger turbo, but then you would get murdered with filling gas up every other dya.

My dad gave me those numbers at 22,000. Maybe he meant that the price of the Evo 8 will drop to that or something. I'm just getting these numbers from my dad, who gets them FROM Mitsubishi.

Well, ~29000 is the web price. If you buy it from the dealer, you probably get a fair amount of discount. $22000 is probably the price your dad gets to buy the car for, does your dad work there?

Mitsubishi, eh?

Me Dad has a Mitsubishi Montero Sport 4x4 XLS, the 2nd best one before limited!

Man it's not a real jeep tho compared to the jeep rubicon...tomorrow me dad and me self are gonna see how good it 4x4's in the 4x4 open course MUAAHAHAH!!!

I has it's 30000 miles so if something brakes no biggie soon it will be serviced and it still has some limited warranty. Since 4x4 cars have to be able to do simple routes where 4x4 has to be used they will repair defects if something goes wrong cuz of some cheap parts :D!

I hope it will be fun tomorrow :)

It sucks how the car would cost almost double in HK than what it does over in NA because of the stupid taxes...
