anyone with sysmetrix can download this. i made it just for you (the 3gm forum members) so u can look at your computer's stats and sherry at the same time! :Wink

below is the download link and you will need Sysmetrix 2.03 to have this function properly. Also, you will need Motherboard Monitor 5 to monitor the temp of your cpu.

I got the following error when I tried to run Sysmetrix:

"Component 'MSWINSCK.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

What does that mean? And more importantly - how do I fix it?

hm...i never saw that before....

make sure u made a folder in program files -> sysmetrix -> and paste the sysmetrix icon and the help file in there. the create another folder in the sysmetrix folder called "Themes" (must put the capitals). in there make another folder called "3GM" and put the files u downloaded in there. then click on the icon for sysmetrix and right click and go into the theme browser. in there should be the file.

if the problem still presists....go to this site and download sysmetrix v2.0...repeat the same steps said above but also take the v2.03 files and overwrite them in the same directory that u put the v2.0 files. that should work.......if it doesnt post a screenshot of the problem...maybe ill be able to notice it then....

Not sure if this will work in XP, but it worked for 2000, so why not? :)
(I presume your using XP anyway)

To re-register an OCX file, open a command prompt, and type:
regsvr32 "path to ocx" (without the " marks)
That should re-register the offending ocx file and enable you to carry on.

Hope this helps.

Yeah - for some reason I was missing the file totally - wasn't even on my system. I downloaded it and registered it and now everything works fine... :)

Yeah - I'll attach it. The fonts are hard to read - can we change the fonts ourselves?

Will you please tell me, how to get this working. I extracted the themes into a folder but how do I load the theme?

Silent_Death911
07-26-2003, 06:22 AM
yeah...go ahead and change the fonts if u want.....

to load a theme u must do the steps i described above. then right click on sysmetrix and click on "sysmetrix configruation". as soon as the window opens up there should be the theme browser and u should click on "3GM" to open the theme.
