Compaqs. Seems like everybody around here has one, and they're the worst things to try to service. Everything's proprietary and everything sucks.

8" i did't no about them Yep, they were really hot stuff when they came out. One of the things that helped start the PC craze. Randomly accessable removable storage.

Ever see that program where you hold down a button and draw a big "W" on the screen with the mouse and it opens Microsoft Word or whatever you want? Now THAT'S a useless program!

I agree... I do just fine with my SB Live Value
ASUS! Motherboards - look on Google for A7V333+trouble. There is one thread out there which is 87 (yes that is correct - 87) pages long!!
:jawsdown :jawsdown :jawsdown :jawsdown
The A7V3333 has loads of "Hidden" comedy extras - loads of Un-documented Jumper settings that ASUS refuse to mention. It is a shambles
I am definjitely going for a Pentium next time
:banghead :banghead :banghead
I am saving at the mo to get my other Eye Lasered so no toys - afterwoods it is P4 time!
:banana :banana :banana
Nah - I have my left Eye Lasered and wear a contact in the other - Trouble is your eye starts to reject them after a while (I have had them for 10 years) - also I have to put it in at 07.30 now as drive to work - that is agoiny when you haven't gone to bed until 12.30!
Ouch!
Mind you don't believe the ads - Painless operation my ass - there is nothing like seeing whisps of smoke from your own Toasted Cornea! Or when the painkillers they give you wear off halfway home!
Yeah - that is PRK where they just burn you eye - I amgoing for LASIK next - it sounds more gruesome but is faster healing (1-2 days opposed to 3 weeks). They actually cut a flap in the front of your eye, burn the laser then flip the flap back
:jawsdown :jawsdown :jawsdown
No side effects!
:rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2 :rofl2
Seriously though it is worth the pain - especially here in OZ - before when I swam it was a case of seeing nothing or getting salt under your contacts - you can imagine the pain!
Here you really wnat to see what is in the water!
:jawsdown :jawsdown :jawsdown :jawsdown :jawsdown :jawsdown
It is a Bull shark - most dangerous here as they come in close and are really beliigerent - 3m usually Not as big as Great Whites but more common in the summer they have big schools with up to 300 off of the Queensland coast.
One too a bite out of a canoeist's padle the other day!
:jawsdown :jawsdown :jawsdown
That is not to mention the Jellyfish, other sharks, and Rip Tides that will suck you under

Matrox Parhelia
Ok, maybe it wasn't Overrated, but it was certainly overhyped and UNDER-achieving as a gamers' card. Now I really wonder how many of those cards got sold around the world for gaming, and not 2D workstation.
Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse
That's kinda overrated, it was supposed to be revolutionary, but response rate is horrible and so is the price. Now it's getting owned by the MX700 in terms of a wireless mouse.
