What mobo and cpu should i get?

Hey, I'm planning on upgrading one of my older computers,
it has a ati xpert 2000 pro 32mb 4x agp, a ibm 45gb ata100 hd, 192mb of ram, 24x cdrom, and case and ps.

I'm planning on spending $500 canadian dollars
i was wondering what do you ppl suggest i get? i just want to get a new motherboard and cpu?.. any suggestions? and any sources where to get these two components cheap?

Abit KT7A (RAID) and a AMD tbird 1.2GHz

i agree with rod,,,but make sure u get the AXIA batch and overclock it to the high heavens

well AMD is the best for the $$ thats for shure. MB I would go with the Abit.
