You two look SO happy with each other. The way you two are holding each other, your bodies are relaxed. Body launage can say alot in a picture.

I called Hershey's speciality shop. It was expensive but worth it. the expression was priceless. When her sister (who is expecting twins in Dec.) saw it Brandi told her she had to watch her figure and could only smell it. :)

Brandi likes a couple of Reese's with an ice cold glass of milk almost anytime. I had that waiting for her Friday evening when she arrived at the hotel.

I'm sure kim does somewhere I'll have to ask.

We had a great weekend last weekend and this one we meet outside Atlanta (way outside) and hide from everybody. Two wonderful day's and nights together. It's nice that both of use a secure enough in our relationship where we don't have to be with each other daily. We make the most of the time we have and everybody and everything else takes a backseat if at all possible. I remember one night though when she was on the phone for about 3 hours and I had problems at work and was also tied up on the phone for the same amount of time. after midnightmwhen all had calmed down I took both cellphones an put them in the nightstand drawer. She laughed and said "careful the damn things will breed".:rofl2

Here's one we took at a Christmas drinking party, I was pretty buzzed, and trying to play Gran Turismo 3. After that, I don't think I will ever drink and drive. The lone girl in the picture was my gf from a year ago, we broke up after dating for a year and a half.

Did you ftp it to your website's directory? You have to do that and then link to the picture, not the web page itself...

So if I have a site called www.wazman.com, and the first page is called index, I have to have the url go www.wazman.com/pic.jpg and not www.wazman.com/index.html...

There's a good post by eferz in the forum rules section - you might want to check that out. That's how I figured out how to do it...

I used to make this great drink in the SUmmer after working all night in a bar - Picture the scene: Sitting on a balcony looking out over the Thames in Greenwich, aboutr 12.30 am - hot still.

There was a drink whcich was G&T in a bottle with Ginseng and Guarana added! We used to get a Pint glass and fil the bottom with layers of Lemon & lime slices and ice - then pour in the drink plus a double Vodka!

Heaven

My friend Bob's (he's in Iraq) wife Katie has already sent a few of them over to his unit...and I honestly think its a great idea...with the heat and everything...I think the least we can do is grant them a little extra comfort in exchange for their grand sacrifices on all our behalf.

Let's see, 2500 men women and children dead on Sept 11, 2001. Countless men women and children dead all over the world from terrorist activity. Blatant disregard for even the basic human rights. Years and years of torture for tens of thousands of people in Iraq. Constant threat to the peace and stability of the region and world.

Yea, let’s make the same mistakes that our fathers and grandfathers made in the 1930’s with Hitler and stick our head in the sand. It’s not about oil. It’s not about hating Islam. It’s about taking responsibility and doing what’s called for and right. You think I like giving the command to launch missiles onto a city with civilians possibly get killed. But there was and is no other way. Diplomacy failed. Diplomacy will only work when the other side wants to work out a problem. The US made errors in diplomacy in the past. But this action was justified.

I agree with you...there are times for diplomacy...and there are times for action. :thumb I don't think she was knocking you for your beliefs. She was pointing out the reasons that we should do something. If you have had close calls and I don't doubt your statement, then you should be more than happy to see some action to try to put an end to the terrorist insanity. In the mind of the terrorist the complacency of the western world only breeds more contempt for it. As long as the terrorist mind thinks they can do what they do and suffer no retribution it will never stop. If the west would show a united front on this matter the situation would improve with much more speed. When you consider the real reason France and Russia choose to not support the UN resolutions (both countries had hugh investments into the oil infrastructure of the Hussein regime) it's no wonder he terrorist think that they can drive a wedge between the western countries by playing the greed card.

It is abhorable to go to war. But it's worse to sit by and let some one crap on you day after day with no effort to resist. It is the responsibility of any goverment to protect it's citizens and that is exactly what is happening. You might not agree with the method but you better damn well agree with the principle or one day you will find you have no freedoms or privileges at all.

You might not agree with the method but you better damn well agree with the principle or one day you will find you have no freedoms or privileges at all.

trouble being it is impossible to have a discussion about this via a Forum - it runs too deep.

But read your above quote - it enforces your view without option. Not that I disagree with you but some people might. DOes that make them Wrong/Enemies?

We, as Westerners can't really understand what goes through the mind of an Arabic Terrorist Hell I would never want to!

We, as Westerners can't really understand what goes through the mind of an Arabic Terrorist Hell I would never want to!

The problem is that if we don't understand the Arabic mind then there is no option for solution. One of the things I did in a past life was to gather infomation and try to understand the reasons behind the actions of certain countries in this region. The one glaring fact that I learned is that the thought processes are totally different from the western world. And I hate to say it but force, uverpowering force is the one thing that their mind does understand.

It's like this discussion here, I'm not going to change your mind and you will not change mine. But if I convince you to dig into the problem and study the facts for yourself, to not listen to the news media or any pro or anti war activest but to make informed knowlegeable decision on your own. I think you might start agreeing with me. I wish it was as simple as setting down at a table and talking but it is not.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Make your opinion count by having the facts as best you can. Read my signature, that sums it up.:)

I agree. An honest on the level discussion is the ticket for solving any problem. That is known as DIPLOMACY. But all parties must be sincere in their efforts or it is all for naught.

I'm not even saying in order to solve a problem...I just think that with the number of interesting and diverse opinions and outlooks we have here, almost any conversation we'd enter into would be just awesome, especially considering most people are better conversationalists in person than in type, even if not as eloquent.

Ha ha!!

It is a Daewoo Lanos (My Girlfriend has christened him Larry the Gay Car - don't ask me why!)

We got it because it was so cheap after moving here from the UK and having to set ourselves up from scratch, we needed something that would get us from A - B but also be reliable. This thing was only AU$ 13990 and comes with 3 years Warranty, 3 Years free servicing , Power Steering, Aircon ( A Must here) and a stereo.

A good deal - better than buying a second hand car

Phalanx Close-In Weapons System
Updated: 13 September 1999

Description: Fast-reaction, rapid-fire 20-millimeter gun system.

Features: Phalanx provides ships of the U.S. Navy with a "last-chance" defense against anti-ship missiles and littoral warfare threats that have penetrated other fleet defenses. Phalanx automatically detects, tracks and engages anti-air warfare threats such as anti-ship missiles and aircraft, while the Block 1B's man-in-the-loop system counters the emerging littoral warfare threat. This new threat includes small,high-speed surface craft, small terrorist aircraft, helicopters and surface mines. Phalanx accomplishes these engagements via an advanced search and track radar system integrated with a stabilized, forward looking infra-red (FLIR) detector. This integrated FLIR provides Phalanx with an unique multi-spectral detect and track capability for littoral warfare threats and dramatically improves the existing anti-air warfare capability. Block 1B also incorporates new Optimized Gun Barrels which provide improved barrel life, improved round dispersion and increased engagement ranges.

Phalanx is the only deployed close-in weapon system capable of autonomously performing its own search, detect, evaluation, track, engage and kill assessment functions. Phalanx also can be integrated into existing Combat Systems to provide additonal sensor and fire-control capability.

Background: The Phalanx Close-In Weapons System (CIWS) underwent operational tests and evaluation onboard USS Bigelow in 1977, and exceeded maintenance and reliability specifications. Phalanx production started in 1978 with orders for 23 USN and 14 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) systems.

And one of the Wisconson.

The 16inch/50 caliber Mark 7 gun fires two basic rounds; a 2,700 pound AP (Armor Piercing) and a 1,900 pound HC (High Capacity) shore bombardment projectile. Nine of these guns, the most powerful ever mounted on a United States Warship, are mounted in well-protected turrets. These gunes, with their combination of a longer barrel and heavier propelling charge, are a vast improvement over the earlier Mark 6 guns on earlier battleships.
Each gun is mounted on a separate slide with its own elevation drive. The assembly includes a firing lock, gas ejector, breech mechanism and yoke. All of the individual slide and gun assemblies, both sight stations and the station for the rangefinder are all located in separate flame-proofed compartments.

The three turrets are virtually identical, each consisting of an armored gunhouse (turret armor is 17" front, 9.5" sides, 12" aft and 7 1/4" roof) with a rotating structure and a fixed structure. A central column extends down to the turret foundation supporting the turret and shell decks. Turrets I and III have two shell decks and Turret II, being a deck higher, has three. The turret structure is protected by a non-rotating barbette of heavy armor (17.3" on the sides and 11.6" fore and aft). There is a weather seal between the barbette and the gun house but the gun does not rotate on, nor is it supported by the barbette.

The rotating weight of the turret, less projectiles, is approximately 1,700 tons. The outside diameter of the roller path is 34 feet, five inches. The maximum training rate is four degrees per second, and the elevation rate is twelve degrees per second. The maximum recoil for the gun is four feet. All turrets have training arcs of three hundred degrees. A minimum crew of 77 men is required for each turret and the rate of fire is two rounds per minute per gun.

In 1969, Captain Edward Snyder of the New Jersey was quoted as saying that the AP shell is capable of penetrating up to 32 feet of reinforced concrete. The HC round carries a high-explosive charge of 154 pounds. The maximum range is 41,622 yards when fired with the normal propelling charge of 660 pounds, with a muzzle velocity of 2,690 feet per second.

Typical armor penetration of the 2,700 pound Mk 7 AP projectile is 14.5 inches of horizontal armor at a range of 42,300 yards (angle of fall is 53.25 degrees and a striking velocity of 1,686 feet per second.) At "point blank" range, with a striking velocity of 2,500 feet per second, the vertical armor penetration is 32.62 inches.

The Royal Navy uses Phalanx and they bought Goalkeeper for the extra Firepower - it is 30MM rather than 20mm
