Is comedy the worlds greatest thing? I mean, don't be like "sex is so much better" or "hah computers own comedy." I'm being serious.

Computers 0wN comedy! HA!
j/k. I like comedy, but I prefer things with substance and intelligence.
Unlike me! :banghead

Comedy is king. You don't have to be around someone in a romantic setting and it's quite spontaneous. I have a better time with a large group of friends than I do with most girls.
Hence why I havn't had a girlfriend in so long.
Though I suspect I'd be with someone if I didn't have such good friends.

Laughter is the best medicine, they say.
Which must explain why I'm sick so often...

Yeah, I only put "sex is better" to see how many people would ignore my first post and put it. So if so many people like comedy, how come only 2 people voted yes?

Love, not comedy or sex, is the greatest thing.

Comedy is Kickass. Makes you laugh and forget about troubles you're having till you stop laughing. I guess its like being drunk ( although i do not drink )...

Actually, studies have shown that laughter can help sick people heal... I guess it's just that positive release of tension and emotion... It helps clear the bad stuff out.

Yeah, my ex-football coach would yell at us because when we (the team) screwed up we would laugh. He siad "thats making it so you don't take it as serious, you want to win so dont laugh no w run 10 laps" and thats pretty much spam.

I picked comedy because what would television be without it you know shows like Family Guy, The Simpson’s, Bill Maher, And Frasier. Comedy isn't bad it's probably one of the top stress releasers second to sex and the alternative to sex (you know) Besides Bob Hope relieved some solders of war during his time and he will always be remembered for it. Comedy also allows us to speak our mind laugh and pick at our selves.
So I’d say let's have more of it.

Just a reminder - there should not be comedy during sex.
Unless you're doing it wrong. :D

I make people laugh and most of them make me laugh in return.
Its a great tension breaker when meeting new people, Its part of my being, I would be a dull person without it.
2 years ago I saw Gorge Carlin live at the Pittsburgh Amphitheater, oh man, my stomach hurt for days, and that is a good pain....one I don't mind enduring.

Grinder...I think I was at that show!! George Carlin is simply hilarious, though sometimes sacreligious...still downright gut-busting. The only other comedy show I've seen that ranks up there with him was Chris Rock's Bigger and Blacker...great great stuff.
Laughter is a magical thing...it can heal wounds, make bad days bright, and just bring a joy to live that you cannot find anywhere else, including sex, drugs, and alcohol.

George owns you, period. George is maybe a real "king of comedy." It takes a lot of talent to be a comedian for over 40 years and still be mainstream and funny.

Yea, well I was the gargoyle with long hair standing by the Iron City Beer Truck drinking beer till Carlin hit the stage.
He can be crude, and I don't agree with his politics, but as waz says so often, Its all Good.
And I agree, Laughter is only something humans can enjoy, and I am extremely grateful for it. Some people get offended by my sense of humor, but the funny thing about that is, I don't really care. :wavey

I too have a very offensive sense of humor sometimes, and I really don't care, because most people will take it and just laugh, because they know I'm only kidding, and those that don't...well, that's their problem.
As far as the Iron City...how can you drink that stuff...I have tried it (fairly long ago I'll admit)...it tastes like it came straight out of the river!

His early stuff is pretty good... I like his "Himself" album... I didn't get it when I was a kid. But now that I'm a parent, things make so much more sense...
I do agree though, that he's lost it a bit... He went a little too over the top on the Cosby Show and he hasn't been as good since...

I remember Fat Albert was on every Saturday at noon... I used to love it when they were singing and playing the junkyard instruments... And then all of a sudden they had real guitars and stuff... And I would be like "Where did they get those? And why don't they just use them if they've got them?"
I was a weird child...
