There are so many....
'Ninja Scroll'
How is this called an anime great? Its not that great...Just mindless killing and sex. It would be better without the sex, which is mostly pointless. The storyline isn't all that great either.
'Ghost in the Shell'
For the smarter people this is a really good one. You have to watch this a couple times to get the big picture. There is some violence and some nudity so don't let the kids see it.
'Akira (Special Edition)'
This is pretty good. Its well known because it started the anime craize over in america. It is an anime classic...not an anime great.
'Princess Mononoke'
This, on the other hand is an anime great. It has a great musical score. Its not really that violent either. This has a great storyline.
'Grave of the Fireflies (Collector's Edition)'
Extremeley sad movie! Its about two japanese kids during WWII. It is a good anime yet very sad. If you want a lot of action don't buy it.
'Metropolis'
The animation is pretty good...the artwork is ok. Overall the movie is ok. Some action but action isn't everything. Not that bad in all.
'Spriggan'
The action in this is really good. The storyline could have more though. Its rated R for a reason.
'Jin-Roh The Wolf Brigade - Special Edition'
Not that good actually. The storyline isn't good...The action is ok but if you can rent it get it that way.
'Escaflowne - The Movie (Ultimate Edition 3-Disc Set)'
This is a remake of the entire series. The animation is wonderful but the series is better. This movie is nothing like the series.
'Escaflowne - The Series (Limited Edition Boxed Set)'
Great series, Great Story. If you saw it on fox get this because fox cut it up so it ended up looking like a nine month old orcupine using scissors.
'Berserk - War Cry (Episodes 1-5)'
This goes for the whole entire series. Great series. The animation is ok the action is great. The story rules. Very violent though
'Samurai X - Trust (Rurouni Kenshin)'
First half of the Kenshin OVAs very good. Great story! The animation is astounding and the its violence is fluid.
'Samurai X - Betrayal (Rurouni Kenshin)'
Second half. Same review as first half gets
'Rurouni Kenshin - Legendary Swordsman, Vol. 1'
This goes for the whole series. Wonderful. Kenshin vows not to kill and this basically shows the trials he goes through. Pretty good action too.
'Now and Then, Here and There (Complete Collector's Boxed Set)'
Very good series. The animation is not all that great but the story rules. This can be pretty sad.
'Vampire Hunter D'
Very good movie. Very Western..pretty old though. The Animation looks old too.
'Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust'
This is better. BAsically D has to rescue a girl from vampires again. The animation is very good but you'll notice D's shoulders shrank form the first one.
'Ninja Resurrection'
Very pointless. Too much violence and sex. DO NOT BUY!!!
'Wrath of the Ninja: The Yotoden Movie'
Pretty good if you like ninja violnece. can get corny at times but still is pretty good.
'Royal Space Force - Wings of Honneamise'
Not a lot of action. Very good storyline. The animation is awesome. Its about space, how can you not like it.
'Spirited Away'
Ok Miyazaki is an anime great. This is a very recent anime...It is great!!! It has a great story line...and the dubbing isn't bad.
'Castle in the Sky'
One of Miyazaki's older movies (You can tell by the style) ITs also known as Laputa. Just buy it...its a great movie.
Nausicaä.. Disney is going to release this sometime. Its another Miyazaki film...They are supposed to release a bunch more of Miyazaki
Whispers of the heart-also great
Porco Russo-again, its good
Only Yesterday-pretty good
Tanuki wars-Funny, great
'X - One (TV Series, Vol. 1) - With Series Box'
This whole series is great...So much better than the movie. Just buy it...
'X - The Movie'
This movie sucks. They skip half the stuff in the series and it makes it look like fieces. (did you know your not allowed tocurse)
' Samurai X - Trust & Betrayal (Director's Cut)'
Get this instead of trust and betrayal, not that much added fight scenes but its cheaper then getting trust and Betrayal. It still rules.
'Samurai X - Reflection (Rurouni Kenshin)'
The end to the Rurouni Kenshin series. Pretty good, but you should watch the series first.
'Cowboy Bebop - The Movie'
Pretty good movie. You don't really need to watch the series to understand this.
'The Animatrix'
Its ok, not the best I have seen, but still a decent buy.
'.hack//SIGN (Vol. 1) - Limited Edition Boxed Set'
All of .hack is great. It gets confusing and ends with many questions.
'Kai Doh Maru'
Not really all that good. It ends wierdly and I had some questions. The animation in pretty neat though.
'Saiyuki - Journey Begins (Vol 1)'
I haven't watched all of this series but from what I have seen, it looks pretty good
'Patlabor WXIII - The Movie'
You don't need to watch the Patlabor series for this movie. It is not action packed but it has a small amount, except near the end.
'Macross Plus - Movie Edition'
Not all that good actually. It left some questions. Sort of like Top Gun.
'Blood - The Last Vampire'
The animation is pretty good but its too short for the price they ask. It has a lot of action and doesn't end in abrudtly like Kai Doh Maru (same studio)
'Legend of the Dog Warriors - Hakkenden'
Everyone complains about the animation but the only episode that really had bad animation was episode 10, this is pretty good if you like the fuedal period of Japan but can be very confusing
The Naruto anime is very good but some fights are overdone...

Ghost in the Shell for the story line.
Wings of Honneamise for the art.
Roughnecks for the CG
Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets/G-Force for the old school (I loved it as a kid)
Escaflowne because it has a Mech that changes into a dragon
I like anything with Mecha ie:Robotech/Patlabor/Dominion Tank Police
And
Cowboy Bebop for the music ,story ,violence, humor and art.
It is my current favorite.

Cowboy BeBop its more adult themed than most anime. The level of violence is right the plots are fantastic. You can really, really relate to the characters. And the main villian Vicsious is a great villian and you can really relate to his evil. The animation is incredible and the attention to detail is amazing (my dad even remarked on it.) Now on to the music of Cowboy BeBop. The music goes VERY well with the show. The movie is decent compared to the series. I still enjoy the fact that its 3-4 times longer than a show yet the animation/draw quality isn't worse. Its plot is just Okay but the villian is great. Also, the music is to note.

I would certainly agree..... I've read tons of comics, watched tons of anime..... too many to remember......
But I'm mostly anticipating the next "season" of Initial D, perhaps it's one of the few Racing ONLY anime out there with kickass sound effects and EXCELLENT Euro-mix type music.

FLCL is pretty cool, but you don't actually find out what is going on till the last episode though. My favorite anime is either Berserk or Cowboy Bebop. Anybody seen chobits? Its kind of girly but I like it.
