Well do you think we should have a Watercooling section under general hardware?
Comments?

Definitely, but it should be watercooling and other extreme cooling, i.e. peltiers and phase change.

Sounds great, now if we can get Rodney to vouch for it :) Cmon people VOTE!

We should have one becuse watercooling is risky and people who are knew to it need help. Me + JCYC5 can be moderators :D ahah at least JCYC5.

That sounds very good. I am planning on building a new type of water cooling system for myself and I would like to have a place to come if I have questions.

I think that this would be a nice addition to the fourms. It will help the people that have questions to get faster answers. One the other side I think it should only be added after the networking fourm.

or both !

If we can't get enough votes for a networking forum (which I believe would be more useful to the majority of people who come here), then how do you think we'll be able to get this one?
Too much division is never a good thing.

but I think a "extreme cooling" section will make all the crazy stuff get out of a general Q and A section. cmon mac made the forums why not networking or wc?

I don't think this too much division just something the needs to be done with the member level here.

i voted no .. i say we should have just a general cooling section :)
redphoenix

that works. Because there are SOOO MANY hsf questions, a general cooling could work.

I think the overclocking forum have enough space for H2O in there, and I certainly don't see TOO many questions, problems, praises or complaints about watercooling to demand its individual forum.

I'd vote for just a general cooling section. If you make an "extreme" was it? cooling section then were do all of us Joe Blow's with air cooling go?

Yeah, a Cooling section would be cool... Air, pelts and water!

I dunno...while I like the idea of a watercooling forum and would read/post to it...I don't see enough questions around that seem like it would justify a new forum in its honor...as thephenom said, Overclocking seems a great home to it at the moment...and that thread as it stands isn't exactly swamped here guys..
Now, networking on the other hand does seem useful, as I'm sure we've all had a few IP configuration issues or routing problems, etc. :Holy Crap

I would like to at least have a dedicated cooling forum because I could technically put a cooling question in the Overclocking, General Hardware, or Modding forums. If we had one dedicated forum it would be very helpful.
Please Rodney, could we have it??????

ya it be cool, people would be able to see other ways of cooling their system would be helpful

and rather than people asking how to remove thermal paste too.

I'll also post my watercooing progress. It'll be good and interesting. It'll be [H]ard|CORE because its a real cooling project not a kit.

Only problem with that is that, some forums have many membeers, dedicated to members. It just makes sense, just to dedicate to cooling at least.

Yah.. but cooling is just part of overclocking right?

Cooling is an integral part of computers, but this is for special above the norm AIR COOLING.
redphoenix

Exactly, atleast a cooling section. Cooling is a huge part of computer in general. Without it, well you would have a pretty messed up computer. Not to mention, cooling questions get asked in Overclocking and in general hardware, which yes both can be apart of it.
JCYC5
10-17-2003, 10:20 PM
Yes, right now the cooling questions are scattered over General Hardware, Modding and Overclocking... having a place for all of them to be would help...
