Well, I just got back from the doctor and my nose is screwed up from my nostrils all the way very far into my head! My whole nose is clogged with mucus type substance an I may have to have surgery if it doesn't clear up. The infection is mostly where my finger cannot reach into my nose (well, that was a little degusting but it's true). Than also they gave me an X-Ray and they asked did my nose ever get broken I said no. Come to find out when my father came back they told us that I have a little piece of cartalege/(soft bone) mis-shaped or missing and I was probably born that way! Anyways, they are giving me an anti-biotic for 14 days after that they are giving me a stronger one. Well, anyways it just one part of my life I'd share with you all and I'll accept your support. Wish me luck because I'm going to need it because I may never smell again! (maybe probably unlikely that ill turn out that way!). :( :What the :(

Sux man. Take it from someone that still kind of out of it. Being sick is no fun. But I don't care how sick you are I'm not sharing Nurse Brandi with you.:p

I've had that same damn thing building for a week and a half. I started the 14-day antibiotics today. They made me feel a whole lot worse. I don't have a thermometer, but it feels like I have at least a 102 degree temp. I'll try to keep posting for the next hour or two, but I make no promises...

OH MY GOD, I hope you get feel better also! They checked my temp it was 105! I was feelin' a little sick. I also was having a lot of nose bleeds. I had ALL of these conditions/symtoms for at least two years. I've noticed in the summer the infection give me a break and I could at least breathe out of one nostrill but when fall temps come (October here in Florida) until at least april it's pure hell! Until finally it shows it's very true colors (Coughing up Blood and Mucus, Clogged nose, Sore nose, Head Ache and a Mild fever and Nose Bleed(s)) and I had to be rushed to the hospital tonight and thats how I know something was wrong with my nose/sinuses.
Well, I hope god works somting out for both of us and try to have a little faith!

Sounds like you have a sinus problem now, but allergies the rest of the time. Get them to try you on Singulair. I've had severe allergies all my life...until I started taking Singulair. You might ask them about it.

i had one at the beginning of this year due to really bad air and some air conditioning.
Had x-rays too but cleared up with usage of antibiotics. Most of my friends were infected too, and theirs cleared up without much complications so dont worry :)

My father said "what about singular or (Clairatain?)" they said if this problem gets horrible/persist in the cold weather months or when I stop taking anti-biotics they said I may Have to go to surgery AND get on allergie medicine for a more than few months.
But as for now I'd better stat poppin' those anti's.
Thanks Everyone for their suppot! Gone for now so good night!

best of luck man Thai cuisine. Habanero sauce. Hooter's 3-Mile-Island hot wings. That's what gets rid of sinus blockage!
The antibiotic must be working. I've gotten considerably worse in the past 8 hours. Now I have to figure out how to sleep sitting up. Oh, well...

No, I'm just debating on whether, if I get any sicker today, to go to the local hospital, or just save the trip and die at home. :rofl2
I just started the antibiotic yesterday afternoon, so I'll wait and see what happens. Sitting up instead of lying down has helped a lot.

Just go on over to the funeral home and save them the trip.
Ed just said if you are turning down a visit from me you must be sick.

I think I'll just make a pot of chili and enjoy some football this afternoon. I seem to feel pretty good, so long as I don't lie down.

Sinus infections are no fun - I've had a few and they're no picnic... My mom actually had surgery for them about four years ago... It was rough for her for a little bit, but she came through OK and she feels better now...
Here's to a quick recovery to all our suffering members!

Well, I just started my anti-bioctics today but, I don't see any improvements but I'm pretty sure it takes time. Anyway I came back from the hospital today around 6:30 or so. Right now i'm sitting on my computer reading the forums and such trying to take it easy. Thank for all of your support! I hope when I go back to my doctor on Wednesday for my X-Ray I'll see a little improvement and hopefully I get though this and get back to school by Thursday or next week or so. Good thing it's not going to get terribly cold this week and the lows will be in the low 60's to upper to mid 50's but, to me it will feel a lot colder because i'm already cold right now and it's in the 70's outside! Well anyway Thank you ALL! :) :) :) :banana :banana :banana :coffee :coffee :)

Something I've found to help when I'm sick is a cup of chamomille tea (I'm not sure if I've spelled that right or not)... It usually takes one cup and I'm out for the night... I find it to be very soothing and relaxing...
May not work for everyone, but it's worth a try...

And chicken soup. The tea and the soup make you feel all cozy inside.
Get well sweetie.

Hooters 3-mile?
Bah!
Bentley's still require more hot sauce and then they have a small bite to them...

I just got over that crud. Sleep sitting up, better than not breathing, I say. Took Tuesday off of work to recoup but had worked for over a week with it. Not fun...not fun at all. Seems to very contagious, too.
I think I got a couple people sick...:Sigh
Hope everyone gets to feeling better.

I had a tough time myself earlier this year ... now don't laugh ... I got the chicken pox a week after my 39th birthday - It really really sucked - I felt like dying. I hope you have family or friends to look after you - because it makes it all the more bearable. Chicken soup, Saltines and 7up are good combos when I'm sick. Hot Salsa also helps - :wavey
