I have been looking at some new headphones, better than these cheap 10 dollar ones that have lasted a long time.
I saw these new 5.1 headphones so now, 2 speakers isnt good enough for me lol. I was looking at them, and I saw the ones that grabbed me and said BUY ME. I have only seen 1 place that sells then, newegg. I have not seen reviews or anything on them. But if you have anything to say about them go ahead. THey are only 50 bucks and there Dolby Digital!!

unless its a opictal port, it can be TRUE 5.1.
i mean if u look at all multi channel sound cards, they have serveral ports on the back of them for a reason. either that or they have an opictal port. so if u plan on buying them, i doult it will be true 5.1, like dolby digtial prologic (thats the fake stuff)
zalman makes a 5.1 headphone, but if u look at there connectorsm they have like 3, fron, sb, and rear. or something like that.
YEY 200 post!!!!!!!
edit: if it is a optical/propertay connetor, then yes it should be true 5.1. Well proteray maybe not......
im checking kinyos website for ALL the details for u
i hope to be done soon.

Even if it was 4.1, I would be happy. really. Other ones I have seen are expensive.

well u need to have a sound card/source that can encode 5.1 through a opital out.
the only one i know of (w.out spending insane amounts of money) is the nvidia sound storm. (nforce 2 south bridge, MCP-T)
if u have the MCP-T (and yes it HAS to be that one) then yea it SHOULD work (its a computer dont forget...)
dont forget to turn on EAX.

I have MCP-T chipset Soundstorm
So if I turn on EAX, how would I do that? I know how to in games, but can you outside of it? Here in my control panel.
If I plug it in FRONT REAR and SUB what should be checked do you think?

They're only $50. Go for it!
You ought to read the reviews on the Zalman 5.1 headphones first, though...

srry im late, but EAX is only usedd within games. this is due to the fact that EAX was developed by Creative, and they had to release it so that game makers could develop EAX compat games. at the same time other chip makers who make sound chips could put EAx into the chip. i tihnk EAX must be turned on in the game itself.
Just go to options, sound, and set speaker config to EAX.
do note that there are differnet levels of EAX. EAX 1, EAX 2, EAX 3 (i think EAX 3 is out, i could be wrong) and so the game may only support EAX 1, and not 2. however the MCP-T of nividia should support EAX 2.
becaeful because when u turn on EAX on the MCP-T, it seems like the South bridge temp jumps and the sound crackles. however puting a passive cooler south bridge seems to fix this.
get someone who has the EAX tuened on with the MCP-T to make sure. i dont know 100%.
