Well, today while at work I get a call from my mom, and it turns out a donor Pancreas became available for her. so, my car has a sick tummy and I had to wait for a ride from work to my house where, I had to wait for another ride to arrive, so when I get down there at like 4:50 PM(She went into surgery at 4:38) I know basically nothing and then I just have to sit and wait there...shortly after 5 PM her boyfriend shows up and I have nothing to tell him really about what's going on. so as I sit there I was getting slightly impatient since there had been no updates on the screen or anything, so here I am and getting really worried and stuff. and then Tweety shows up since it was on the University campus and she had just gotten out of class. So she hangs out with me and helps ease my nervousness untill about 7 PM...Then My mom's boyfriend and I just sit there, half watching TV, and eating the Sandwiches out of the vending machine(was desperate). And then I doze off since I hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, so around 9:50 the surgeon finally comes out to tell us that everything went well and that she'd be in recovery for about 2 hours. So her boyfriend decides to drift off to sleep so and I'm sitting there, relived but bored as can be. luckily they had the latest issue of road and Track there to somewhat quell the boredom. So finally at about 12 AM the nurse finally comes out to say that they're moving her to her room and that we could come up in 15 minutes. So, after impatiently sitting there the 15 min. we finally head up only to find that the nurses still hadn't gotten her plugged into her bed and all that stuff.

End result? well, we can't be too sure yet, since the pancreas really hasn't started working all the way yet, but I just got home after the long ordeal(Although not nearly as long as was spent for the Kidney transplant, which, lucky for her, her boyfriend was able to donate), and Just made this post to ask for your Best wishes, and prayers if you do that kinda thing... Thx every one!!

sorry guys, spent another long day at the Hospitizzle again...hehe, and everythings going fairly well. She's progressing very well and even stood up and walked to a chair today. She's progressing much faster than she did after she got the Kidney Transplant in Feb. Thanks for All the best wishes and all. It's times like these that make you question your spirituality(or lack thereof in my case) and wonder how all this is possible. first of all to find a boyfriend who was a compatible match to donate a Kidney, and then to be able to get a Pancreas in a relatively short time thereafter. once again thanks for all your support guys(and gals).

You, your family and your Mom are in my prayers. I hope everything turns out OK. Sometimes we don't know how close we are to God until we need him and we find out He's been there with us all along.
