Most of you probably know this, but for those that do not, we experienced a "coronal mass ejection" (insert your own joke here) on Wednesday, which will lead to big-time sunspot activity Friday afternoon. All the usual stuff, including 2ghz propagation problems in microwave radio, errors on your network wiring, satellite fades, and cell phone problems. NOAA has advised possible power grid problems as well.

No. That is quite normal actually. Believe me... our sun has enough fuel for another good 4billion years of use.

However this should lead to some nice activity with the ION fields. Oooo... lookie at teh colours.

This may sound silly but, dont' they call that some kind of Aurora or somthing when that happens?

Aurora Borealis. And there is another Aurora too. Yeah. that is just radiation from the sun and space reacting with the earths Ionisphere.
