I'm dual booting but I mainly use Windows 2000 Pro, and when I have time I'm beta testing Windows XP Home Edition or Professional Edition.

- why are running adv server win2k ?
do you have a 8 way cpu machine or something more.. because there is cerainly no advantage to use that hal on a 1 way or 2 way machine and plus it is a like one freaking expensive os. plus server has slightly less performance than pro on foreground apps.

I dunno.. lol.. I needed a win2k cd and that's the only one my friend had avaliable.. Plus I can turn on a useless DNS server and piss @Home off..
And it seems faster than Pro for me, and I get higher FPS in games.

I don't understand why individuals choose to run Windows 2000 when that OS is designed for business use. Why don't they run Windows Me? And don't laugh, Windows Me is a great system.
I'm running XP Pro RC2 right now, but I would run XP Home Edition if I could get my hands on it.

At work, I run Win2k, and at home, I run Win2k on one machine, and Win98se on the other. I have had limited success with WinMe at the office, especially on our CD burner.
Probably just me and my lack of common sense, but I prefer Windows 2k over WinMe any day.
I decided not to create any great "rifts" in between my wife and I, and decided to keep her computer on 98, so she'd not have any problems. :) She's learning how to use mine everyonce in a while, dual head and all. ;)

win98se all the way, i love it and the stability is good if you apply all the updates
*hint for the best stability, dont install winmedia player 7.1, itll cause the most screwups, just use the old player and all will be good*

I have to agree with Nathan. Win 98 doesn't give me any trouble, and that's exactly what I want from an operating system.
BTW Nathan, I was just noticing your sig, and I'm curious... Do planes on approach to Pearson have to counteract the effects of the crosswinds and updrafts created by all those fans on your PC? J/K Dude!

Right now i'm dual -booting winME and XP RC2 2526 Pro, I am soon goign to delete my ME partition and install 98SE, it's much more stable and better for games and such....
So far XP is the best windows i have tried yet, and it works great...no RAM hogging and it is fast on my sys...

I'm currently using windows 98se. I was using Win2k Pro for a while but most of my games don't work on it too well. And win2k can't use the full potential of your hardware for games sometimes. I also had Win Me on my other machines. But Win98 SE is still my favourite
