Fanime Con - whos going?

I am going to the Fanime Con in San Jose, already have my tickes for all four days.

I love anime so thats why I am going, have a lot of friends who are staffing it too so that will be cool.

I think I am going to dress up seeing how it would be the only time I could without feeling like a dumbass, so now I just need to figure out what to dress up as and get all the materials. :KICK ASS

Anyhow the Con takes place Friday May 28 - Monday May 31, 2004 at the San Jose Convention Center

Maybe if there is a lot of 3dgameman forum members going we could arrange to meet somewhere and say hey and talk and stuff. :luxhello :thumb

I didnt do it last year but I thought why not, might be fun. I just need some ideas on who to go with oh and I dont have a problem with cutting my hair, dying it, letting it grow out, whatever (except shaving it) and would be willing to get contacts and stuff to best fit the part, so any ideas are welcome.

well right now the registration that they are doing is for all 4 days which comes out to be $40.00 which I think is a very good price compaired some other places, but next month I believe they will start the per day registration or you could email them for that information, I will ask a friend thats going to be working there for some more info on it

hm... well if I had a car to drive all the way down there, I would do it. I haven't had the chance to go to an anime con yet, and would really love to. Would be quite the roadtrip though, prolly take around 20 hours or so of driving to get there though. Oh well, I'm just outta luck this time.

wow that would be a long drive, but a fun one, you could stop by so many places before hitting the con, but it would be an expensie roadtrip, me and a friend will be doing a round trip as soon as I have time off from school and work, not sure where we will be going but heck its a road trip.

heh I dosent matter we can't really afford to go not durring the weekend any way prices for hotels rooms double :Mad besides she prolly spend her whole pay check on slots and then we be screwed when it comes time to pay rent, again! but oh well I'm wearing her down, we saw a movie today, although I'm not sure how many more chick-flicks I can see, without seeing the Matrix first :thumb but we are going to the mall (more acuratlly she's dragging me there so she dosen't have to hold the bags, or pay for lunch or dinner) so maybe that will sway her :KICK ASS

Roadtrips are fun.... went to Springville, Utah for a weekend once. My friend left his bicycle at his brother's down there, so we went to get it. Oh, and I also met up with a friend I met off Yahoo... Anyways, let's just say that it was quite the drive and usually takes about 12 hours of driving. On the way back though, I think it took us just under 11 on the way back though

wow that is a lot of driving, my fathers rule of thumb is that if it takes more that 10 hours to drive, we fly, of course a road trip is different becuase your seeing the sites and it is always something new so driving isnt as boring, and that must have been one hell of a bike to go drive there and get it :spin

I got the time off :luxhello but the question is what to go as #1 and #2 do I really wan't to pu that kind of milage on my new baby!? oh the humanity stuck between a rock and a hard place! well if I did go I'd Prolly go as Bradon Heat from Gun Grave seeing as how thats my new favorite anime series and also it's one of the few looks I could actually pull off! bu that brings up a couple more questions can I get my dad to lend me his armany suit? cuz that would really help the look, and alo do I use real guns or just airsoft guns! or plastic fakes that have no autheticity at all!

umm I think they will only allow fake guns, had problems with airsofts, see they were allowed without the paintballs and tanks but people got smart and hid those items in made up things to go with the costume and then reasemble, ahh like a true assassin, anyhow sounds cool if you do go please let me know maybe we can arrange a get together to chat and BS seeing how I wont be able to go to Rodneys Canada get together
