You get a new hire in your department, and he wasn't even born when you graduated from University/College/Tech Institute
And what have we got him doing?... putting together equipment that was 'State of the Art' when he was still in diapers :KICK ASS
At least it's hands on, and he'll eventually become the classic triple threat, he'll know the stuff inside and out, backwards forwards...we'll release him to phone support, and then finally Field Tech
Though I don't think he had the idea of freezing his butt off somewhere north of Grande Prairie AB doing electronic trouble shooting in his itinerary
Too bad he wasn't doing what SCADA guys do...
Somehow getting a phonecall at 10PM, and being asked how do we fix computer or monitor when some pee'd off hunter decides to shoot at meter shack where said computer/monitor is running
Interesting what a .303 can do to a monitor :Yea right
A computer power supply with mouse turds in it no longer holds anymore surprises for me(at least I only have to replace the power supplyand what ever cards were shorted out)
