The United States has said that only those countries which supported it in Iraq will be allowed to bid for multi-billion dollar contracts to rebuild the country. (http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/7725A006-DD73-4252-BBA8-6D95587D41AE.htm)

To the winners go the spoils, I guess. Do you think this is a fair way to award the reconstruction contracts?

I can understand where this is going to get a good many nations jacked...but I totally understand where its coming from. If other nations chose not to put forth the risk and gall to begin with...why should they then be allowed to come in and sweep the winnings. It sounds to me sort of like someone trying to buy the winning numbers for a lottery after they have been drawn and then ask for the winnings....for any situation, there is a risk involved, if you are unwilling to take risks, you cannot advance yourself in life.

Here's the big problem we have in Canada....We are currently in the process of changing our leader as the old ba$tard retires...one of the biggest differences our retiree had with the new guy (Paul Martin) was the he didn't want to send in the troops as opposed to Paul who supported the Iraq war 100%....so we have to suffer even though we've since had a complete change of power?

Also we contributed almost $300 million towards the rebuilding efforts and have multiple companies who have extensive experience in dealing with middle eastern climates/cultures/and people.

Pisses me off that's for sure.
