looking for best cam that uses xD mem cards for 200

those cards are $$$. very expensive if you ask me. i already have a 128 meg xD card from my old POS fuji cam. all fujis use this so im looking at the A310. (i would like 6x zoom but for 200 thats asking for too much) ive looked all around but i keep going back to this one. i woudl love nothing more than if someone proved me wrong. i would like something higher than 3.1 mp but actually mor importantly i would like a high ISO range. thx

The Olympus D-560 is $199 at B&H right now. I've used one and they are very nice. It seems to be just like the Fuji.

d0d0 thats a great camera for 185. 15 fps video too. hmmm which one would be better now. the fuji a310 or the olympus d560

DAMN i decided for the fuji. i respect your opinion though. i didnt buy anything yet though. what makes the olympus better? its even a little bit cheaper too :)

My suspicion is that they are different bodies on the same camera. so it wouldn't really matter which you get. After thinking about it, I might be swayed to the Fuji, just due to the fact that it doean't have the door on the front that might break. It seemed very robust on the one I used, though.

I see a problem...hockey. The telephoto end of the zoom isn't very long on these cameras. If you expect to get up-close shots from the seats, you're going to be disappointed. If you're seated by the rink, and the players slam into the glass in front of you, yeah, but not under normal circumstances. Just so you don't expect too much from them...

As to other cameras that use the xD card? There are none. Only Fuji and Olympus use the things.

darn. yeah i know. see i want a small cam. some olympus cams have 6x which would be great for me. the cheapest one thats more than 6x opt zoom is the c-740 and thats 312 wo shipping. id love 6x zoom but tehre is no camera that uses xD. its holding me back. i think im gonna buy the fuji a310. zoom is 3x which is not too bad for hockey. of course id like something beter but ill have to live with 3x for now. :(

I got the 560. Auto-Focus is soooo slow that...oh god you can't imagine.

I like the camera. Pleanty of features, robust contruction jada jada.

Don't ask me more questions about it. I am being miserable. I bought that monkey for $300 6 months ago and now it's $200. Those things lose value faster than a car.

my parents gave me a few bucks for xmas. i think my dad saw me looking at cameras for like months now. he knows i like to buy what fits me and he sees im having a hard time choosing. to before they left for vacation then gave me 200. hes like "maybe this will make your decision easier" idk how the hell he knew. hes like "just get the 410" my dad is clueless when it comes to computers!!!! and moreso in cams!!!! anyway i thought that was cool of him. so i bought th 410 that day. shipped 2 hours later too :)

and later that night i hear about the 420!!!!! DARN!!!! lol only main diff. i think is that it could take 30fps video with sound. the 410 coudl take only 10 fps with sound. heres my question

the 420 will hit the UK in feb 04. anyone know based on this when it will hit the US?? how big of a delay is there. how long has it been for other products. oh man this sucks. if it came out next month id feel like crap. would have to ship the 410 back and buy it again when its cheaper or just buy the 420. but it should be out after march 04 so its not too bad :)
