This post is for anyone to reply to that has any input whatsoever on this subject.
Generation gap is the topic.
Back in the day...growing up it always pissed me off that my parents would tell me to "Turn That Crap Down!" or "What the hell kind of kids are you hanging out with?"
They just didn't seem to get it..I of course I didn't "get them". Now at 34 everything is so clear to me as I have experienced the dreaded generation gap most directly. My kids are still young 5 and 9 so i am not subject to the gap that is yet to come as they grow into the teenage years but i have to scratch my head at this now a days when around the 14-18 year old group.
Things used to be "kewl" but now they are "FAT"
Now...what the hell is that all about huh? Yes,yes you will say i am getting old perhaps but fat? Granted this terminology does not span across the entire group of people in that age group but it seems that the majority around here say these things now a days. ie.."Hows it goin man?" is now simply "Sup" hmmm hahaha
I say "How's that car you bought"?... "It's Staight"
All of this depends on the area you live in but i hear it all the time and just shake my head in amazement.
Lets hear some voices on this one please!
