I finally found some information about my bird paintings... :) now I have to figure out how they ended up in our family...

'Birds 1'

Stock Dove Columba oenas
Bullfinch Pyrrhula pyrrhula
Goldfinch Carduelis carduelis

'Birds 2'

Robin Erithacus rubecula
Greenfinch Carduelis chloris
Woodcock Scolopax rusticola.

Michelangelo Meucci, an Italian artist working in Florence 1840 - 1909. It reads, 'M Meucci 1894 Firenze'.

Ever hear of the "Antiques Roadshow"? It might just be a states thing - they got all kinds of people that know about everything and give appraisals... some people that have had stuff for some time usually end up being worth quite a bit.

I watched it once and some old woman had a corner chair from the late 1700's that was worth over $50,000 USD... and thats an appraisal!!!

BTW - the link up top isnt working, do you still have pics of the paintings or is it just the two?

There is an American version, but it's actually British.

Yeah we get it here, it's always funny when someone paid more for an item than it was worth.
