View Full Version : New Kit!!
I finally got another job :D
I now have to travel 57 miles to work tho, as I'm working in Leeds.
Pretty phat job tho, I basically build computers all day long with my mates, and do suppoirt calls.
Some of the calls you have to stop yourself from laughing tho :D You get some proper Dumb Asses ringing :)
Because of this new job, I have finally managed to invest in some new kit for my PC, and get a car :D
I splashed out on a Sony 4x DVDRW + and - compatable, and a SB Audigy NX2 (I think thats the name of it).
Got it wired up optically to my dolby amplifer. :D :D :D
PHAT is NOT the word, a word is YET to be invented to describe how phat it is. :D
But the best bit, is my new car.
Since I have 6 points on my license (12 and your banned), insurance is a 'little' hard to get for me :)
(3 points for doing 42MPH in a 30MPH zone, and 3 points for "Driving without Due care and Attention")
But I got a Renault Clio 1.2i 1998 model, thats only done 25,000 miles! For under a Grand!!!!! :D
70BHP ain't bad for a 1.2 either :D
It is quite good for cruising to work down the motorway at 80MPH.
And with just me in, its soooo fun to drive.
It does pretty phat wheel spins, handbrakes, power slides, and J-spins. :D :devil
And the best bit of all, is it does about 60MPG!!! (If you DON'T rag it, and drive like a b*tch) :D
ILL!!!!!! :D
I only spend about £25 a week on petrol, and I do about 115 miles a day!
Now I just need some new front tyres :D (13")
(It slides out on sharp corners at 50MPH) :D

I'd kill for 60 MPG with my car...I can manage 20 at extreme best...normally a lot lower how I drive (I fly everywhere)...then again, I've got a 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis...which is a monsterous all-metal tank of a car with a 5.0L V8 under the hood. Same engine as a Mustang, w00t.
Congrats though on the new job and all the new stuff, w00t for that.

Floats? What is it - some strange Mazda/Humvee hybrid thing?
Of course, every car will float once it's driven into the lake... Until the pressure equals out...

Here's a car that really does float. Click it for more.

Ch0: I believe that'd make it an '89 yes.
Wazman: Perhaps float was a bad choice of words....soars would prob. be a better choice of words...we'll see how fast we can make it fly, yes?

For the record: the RX-7....wow. It floats like a butterfly...and stings your head when it snaps back into the seat on acceleration. 120 mph comes and goes very very easily in that car....I must have one.
