Do dreams mean anything? I am interested, coz I had this dream last night which was kind of cool.
Do dreams ever mean anything or is that a total myth. I cannot scientifically discount that idea.
What do you all think?

Well I didn't necessarily mean literally. Maybe literally in some cases, maybe a wish or an expression of how you are feeling.
Not sure really.
I think mine would definitely show my feelings at the moment. I want it to be a literal representation of the future :KICKASS but I doubt that.

I think that dreams have some meaning, your sub-concious(sp?) has a lot of control of things like dreams, but somethimes they dont mean anything

The odd thing about last nights dream is it made complete sense.
That never happens. I normally find that I am in a place I know, but it doesn't match the place in real life and other odd things happen. But this dream was so realistic. The setting matched the place in real life, and normal stuff was goin on around. It is very odd.
I've never had that happen like that before.
:spin
I don't know what to make of it.

I find that my dreams will somehow relate to what happens... hidden messages... it's a pity I almost always forget the dream as soon as daylight hits my eyes.

My dreams are whacked
2 days ago I dreamed that my brother died. He was on msn and said, don't cry. I'm happy right now.
Then later that night, he came and spoke to me. Then I asked if there was a heaven and he said. Yeah and it's really fun up there.
All my dreams are weird like that... I don't know
A few weeks ago, i dreamed that wazman called and was pissed about something.
But i forget...
I had other dreams but, I don't think you people want to listen to me continue....

Am I looking into the future? :p :smash :coffee

I dreamed that my house was made of glass. The earth looked like mars and the house had pylons which held it up over a crater. I also parked my car in the kitchen.... It was weird.

To me, dreams show my future.
Most of the time, it is the usual day-dream. You shut your eyes, see a moment flash before you, then a few minutes or seconds later it happens. Now, that is cool. Sometimes, it is scary though.
Then, there are the meaningful dreams that take weeks, months, or even years to happen. For me, that would be months. Saw myself asking a girl out. The girl's idenity was withheld from me during that dream (Because I remember it so well). Then, it could have been months, the idenity came to me, and a few minutes later, I asked her out. Now, either I was following the dream, or it was God's Will for me to do that.
Either way, dreams are an incite to the future. Well, most of the time. Usually you get those 'smurfs bouncing in your head' dreams, but that is another story.....

I hope my dreams come true (well, some of them anyway).
I'd never actually talk about them, but it'd be nice if some of the dreams I've had recently would come true.
And Silent Death... You dream about Smurfs bouncing around in your head? Wow...

I hope you are right. Lets just say my dream was along very similar lines to the one you mentioned. I don't know who she was, but I did in the dream.
Hmmmmm..... wishful dreaming, or the future?
The latter I hope..... :spin

In my case, I truthfully think it was the future. This was almost unavoidable. Partly because my friends would have driven me insane if I never asked her........but, besides the point entirely. :Blah

I had a dream last week where I went to a school for something and they just hired me on the spot for something. And gave me lots of money. I have no idea what the job was.
I had another nice one last week... But I can't talk about it. I haven't even told WazLady what it was about.

Dreams are like when your mind tries to make garbled sense of everything that's happened to you in a certain time frame.
Some are wonderful...especially if you're just slapped the alarm clock off and unexpectantly fall back to sleep. I always have the best dreams then, but the short extra snooze always makes me dangerously late for work :rofl2!

It was a rush lol. :lmao

I don't think dreams mean a thing... Random active neurons firing while you're asleep. Some may still be active from when you were awake, which might be why you dream about things that happened during that day or things you thought about (even if you didn't realize you did).
Maybe I just think that because I almost never dream while I'm asleep.
:Boring :Boring :Boring

Dreams are usually brain dumps. Whatever happened during the day, your brain is trying to process it. But sometimes it chooses interesting ways to do it.

Ahhh sleep.
I have the weirdest dreams whenever I play UT2K3 for an extended period of time :spin. It's like I'm still trying to locate and frag targets while I'm asleep :D.

I beleive that dreams can reflect your life, the mind is a powerful thing, people underestimate it too often. When they get weird feelings etc, they think nothing of it for example, while there may be a totally explainable reason for it... or just deja vu for example. I totally beleive in that :devil
