View Full Version : Someone up there doesn't like me......

Well, this sucks, really bad.

Tomorrow, I was supposed to spend a majority of the day with my girl, right? I never had alone time like this with her before. I was really looking forward to tomorrow.

This morning, when I went to school, one of my friends commented on the fact that my eye was red. I thought it was because I did get a little soap in my eye that morning washing my face. So, I didn't care much.

Well, I came back home at around 3:30 from my voulenteering stuff and school. I started my mesh project, and my eyes started to itch. Just a slight itch in my left eye. No worries.

Around 4:30-5:00 or so, the symptoms started to worsen. The whole surrounding area on my left eye started to itch and hurt. My bottom eyelid hurt to the touch, and my eye was a nice pinkish-red in the corners and nearing the pupil. This is when I think, 'Oh crap...'.

I just cleared it out with some water. No biggie.

Symptoms came back around 5:30-6:00. OK, this is when it itches and I began to consider gouging my eye out. I have my mom look at it. She, being the sweet thing she is, starts joking about it and brushes it off. I was not in the mood for that, so I could've slapped her on the spot. But, I held the urge. She put some Visene in both eyes and sent me about my merry ways.

I spent about 7:30-8:30 with sunglasses on to dull the light around me. I looked like the most ******ed thing in the world, but something must get better by tomorrow.

I asked Quinn to ask his mom of the symptoms. She didn't say much. Just, 'If you wake up tomorrow, and you can't open your eye because of crusted pus, you have pink eye'.

I gave up because it was starting to hurt to an extent that closing my eyes worked. So, 8:30 I went to bed.

I woke up at 9:30 to a dark room. Reason 1: My lights were off. Reason 2: I couldn't open my eyes. The pink eye had spread into the right eye when I wasn't looking.

So, I'm VERY mad now because God thought that I didn't need this alone time. It better be God's will, or there will be hell to pay. I'm not a happy camper AT ALL and nothing can fix this unless for some magical reason, my pink eye goes away by tomorrow.

Someone help me........:Crying :Crying :Crying

So, I stand at 2 eyes infected with pink eye, a weekend crumbled into pebbles, and a call tomorrow morning to my girl that tomorrow is non-existant.

Did I do anything to deserve this? Well, I doubt it very much. I haven't killed anyone or anything that deserves this kind of punishment. I don't even think I deserve to be punished at all right now.

This is the ultimate curveball. I've never gotten crap dumped on me this hard except for the time I heard I was moving. :Crying

Now, I'm crying for two reasons.
1) My tear ducts are on the fritz because of the pink eye........
2) My emotional spirits have been crushed by the Big Man

Basically, it's an inflammation of the tissue inside the eyelid that keeps your eyes moist. The problem is, it's highly contagious. If you have it and rub your eyes and touch someone, they'll get it.

Nasty condition.

Man Jeff, you sure are low on medical knowledge. :thumb

It's an infection in the eye that causes redness, pain in the eye socket, pus from the tear ducts, and etc...

The strangest thing.......

I woke up about 4 minutes ago (Yes, I'm that dedicated), and my mom looked at my eyes again. She upgraded my condition from pink eye to seriously bloodshot. I looked myself, it doesn't look as bad as yesterday. They don't itch (YET) and the surrounding area doesn't hurt to the touch anymore. My mom is going to take me to the urgent medical care facuality to have it checked out because my doctor doesn't make Saturday routes. IF the UMC says I don't have pink eye, and my mom thinks I can last this, there is now a SLIGHT chance I can go today.

My prayers are being answered.....:)

Cool... Let us know what happens.

I wonder what could cause that. Do you have allergies? Were you around a lot of dust and stuff yesterday? Any of that might cause it.

Willed it.......yeah.......I willed the pain and scratching. I didn't will away the infection.

It is still here, and the doctor said I have pink eye. Yeah, like I want to believe that. My mom gave him the symptoms over the phone and he said that's pink eye. Still in a contagios state.

Well, my mom won't let me go.

1) She doesn't want to be thought of as a bad mom for letting me go........yeah........who cares about your reputation........
2) Since it's still contagious, I'd rather not give it to my girl. Then I'd feel bad......:Crying

Well, yeah this sucks.

To think I was saying on thursday night, 'I hope nothing goes wrong......I'm really looking forward to this'. Comes back to bite me doesn't it? :Crying :Crying

Hey, well I called her, and just so happens she was a little sick last night too. She could still do today, so that laid the disappointment back on me. Joy.

Also, my friend just reminded me of the fact that I can't go to the movies tonight either. Oh great, this day is getting peachier by the second! :bomb

Ok, here are two astrologiacal signs from the zodiac that fall within the month of August :).

For Leo - July 23 -August 21

Hmmm, here's one from

http://horoscopes.astrology.com/dailyleo.html

"People are neither tools nor symbols. Climb outside of your ambitions for a few days. By talking deeply and fairly with everyone, you learn how others view the world."

Doesn't seem to match, does it?

Let's try Virgo: August 22 - September 23, from the same website :).

"You give permission to trusted people as long as they don't involve you. You're preoccupied by a project that you'd rather be doing. If you get too wound up over this, everything will be a source of disappointment."

Horoscopes are such a goofy way to have a bit of a laugh :D.

Here's mine:

Capricorn: "Lack of balance annoys you. Removing yourself from the equation can only bring everything down in a hopeless tangle. Your influence may appear slight at first, but in a few days you'll be firmly in control again."

Just a little fun to perk you up a bit :D.

Get well soon, S_D :thumb!

You match the pace of someone else's mad dash. You're either kind or foolish to become so involved in a mission that doesn't concern you. Leave yourself a way out if you decide that you've had enough.

That'll be me running after the person with the ball

Hmm. I wonder what that means, i dont like being disappointed.

Let's see what happens.

EDIT: I just realised, yesterday i went out wanting to buy a pair of headphones. However, i could not find the ones i wanted. But, i Had to get a pair. So i bought a pair made by Labtec, half the price of the ones i wanted but the looked as if the would sound great. Did they? NO! Sounded like fudge. So there's my didappointment.

Maybe there is some truth in these horoscopes.

You might want to refrain from sharing hand and face towels with your family. There is a huge possiblity of passing on your Pink Eye to the rest of the family since it's extremely contagious.

The worst part is that crusty stuff that forms during the night, and keeps your eyes glued together when you wake up in the morning. I can't stand that part ! It's worse than super glue.

Actually, they are much better. The redness has left the area around my pupil and now its just hugging the ends of my eyes. You can't see the redness unless I look to the left or right so the sides of my eyes are exposed.
