There are currently (as of this min.) 20389 active members, others are Awaiting Email Confirmation. I normally keep these Awaiting Email Confirmation accounts around for about 6 months to 1 year and then purge them.
I did a cleanup recently: click here (http://www.3dgameman.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=20945)

But how many "active members".
Like...how many people do we have who actually read and post.
I know for myself, I waited months before I posted. I just signed up and then I started posting 3 months later or so...

Take about 20% of that. That is probably the amount of people that actually post.

:lmao :lmao My fan kicks in half the time - you can hear it start up!
My desk is funny now - I rearranged it and have this lovely brand new Black and silver 19 Inch Monitor and loads of cool peripherals suck as my 2.5Inch HDD Enclosure etc. Sitting over in the corner sulkin is the old COmpaq 333Mhz Laptop.
It is a trooper - never lets me down. I was going to put Linux on it when I build a new gaming rig but I couldn't reformat her!

You to Mr. Reynolds (If you read this).
I suspect you are trying to point out that since this forum requires registration there are many forum members who are registered (because they have to access the forum) are lurkers and don’t post. Then the answer is a definite yes; however, there are thousands who do post and obviously fewer (hundreds) who have 150+ posts or spend there days here. Registration to access this forum is something I have implemented long ago and it probably will remain this way. I figure, if someone is interested enough they will register, otherwise they will move onto another site. If other sites want to leave their forum open and not require registration to view or post then that’s their decision. Also, I don’t force anyone to register; it’s their decision and remember it’s a free service that I offer to everyone who does register.
I'm sure some of you might consider registered members who don't post inactive; however, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. For example, I have registered on many forums but hardly every post. Does that mean they should remove my account to reflect what some think "active” members are? Active members are people who come into any forum and register to post or simply read, look at pictures, etc.
So if any registered members who are just lurking read this, don’t feel bad or think you have to post to be an “active” member, just enjoy what it is you prefer to do here ;)
