Is Australia always very hot or does it ever get cool or a little cold there? I know its hot for the most part always there. How is their high speed internet access? Is it any good? Curious because I think I want to visit another country. Not sure where though.
It is very hot for most of the year if like me you are not used to a Hot climate. Even Winter here in Sydney does not get that cold - a bit chilly in the morning and evening but usually sunny and mild during the day.(Although it is amusing to see the Aussie's pull out the fleeces and scarves the moment the temp drops below 20 degrees C:lmao )
Sadly, High speed internet is nowhere near as prevalent as it is in NA. Remember my threads about being stuck on 28K?
The Main Telco is 51% Govt owned so are legally bound to provide "fair" Service for all - that means that ADSL is capped at 1.5Mb (don't ask me why?). To save money, RIMS and Pair Gains are used in new housing developments so that most prople in a brand new house cannot get ADSL.
Cable is almost as bad - there are two operators the aforementioned Telco and Optus. In a crazy ploy some streets in Sydney have both operators cables in the same street whilst the next one will have none. They then ran out of mony leaving most of the city bare:jawsdown
It is annoying as a tech to have to put up with such annoying limitations but I suppose you can't have it all (The best Beer, Women, and weather! [ Now second best Rugby team after England!])

Thanks but what is NA and Rugby?
Is there a lot of open land there like with a lot of animals or is it totally different in some parts?

NA = North America. Rugby is Rugby
99% of Australia's population lives in the 5 major cities and along the coast. The centre is barren.
check out LonelyPlanet.com and choose Australia - they have a great guide

I'm in the better city melbourne. ;) and it does get pretty cold here as low as 3c. Also gets hot too 40c+ in summer, but only a few days.
Never Heard of Rugby:jawsdown :jawsdown
Your education is sadly lacking. The USA has a fairly good Team - they are relatively new so are still developing. They were in the Rugby World Cup (An actual World cup unlike the WOorld Series:D )
Melbourne? My Friend lives there - we are going to see him next week - I am worried as he reckons I will prefer it!

It keeps your beer cold in the heat. Every Aussie Male over the age of 16 Must own at least 10. I sent some back to the Boys in the UK and they were stoked

Coozie? You mean cozy? I've never heard of coozie.
