I dumped my dialup connection and now on Highspeed ADSL!!! :bounce
It's suppose to be a 3Mbps connection but it seems to be only a 2.2Mbps connection. Unless they mean Down + up stream = total of 3.0Mbps. Would be nice if I could download at 375KBps.

What a big difference it is. Even if I want to go back to dial-up I can't because I signed up on a 1 year contract. But this does come with a 5 hours of dialup service :)

It does change your world, doesn't it? :)
I was on dialup until about this time last year. I got cable internet and it was like a whole new world was opened up to me. Now that I have it I don't know how I lived without it for so long.

Been begging my parents to order cable for the last year and a half to no avail. They don't see the need for it as all they do is type and check their mail. All of my friends have been slowly getting it and it makes me want to cry...

Start sending your parents emails with large (2 or 3 meg) attachments, preferably something like photos or video messages or artwork you made "just for them" so they can't ignore it. The'll eventually get the point.
Heck, my mother still uses AOL dial-up... at, what is it now, $23.99 a month? Outrageous! I pay $35 for unrestricted cable (I get a break because I also get cable TV and phone service from the same company... packaged, I get $10 off per month for internet, free HBO channels, and 500 minutes of long distance per month).

oh good lord I hate aol. My girlfriends got that 9.0 crap, complete garbage. Too many menus and windows and independant controls. I've got msn dial-up right now and I love the browser, I wish I could keep it if I ever go cable.
