What movie this year have you liked the most? Of course out of the ones you have seen.

If I recall, the only movie during 2004 that I have seen at the theaters has been Troy yesterday. It was okay, but I felt the movie kind of fell apart as it went on, they should have stuck to the book and not try to emphasize the love story for the women. This is supposed to be a war story:smash

I am going to see TROY here in 20 mins. Maybe I shouldn't waste my time and money after your review. Oh well I am still going to go see it.
EDIT: About the main topic, I have yet to see a good movie this year. I kinda liked the Punisher though. Oh and because my faith I have to say the Passion as well.

Best movie of the year thus far, I have to agree with t00lb0x and say Kill Bill vol. 2. Follow that up with Troy, though I have high expectations for both The Day After Tomorrow, and the Dodgeball movie coming out.

Dodge Ball would be better if its slogan was
"Grab life by the balls" instead of "Grab life by the ball"

I saw Kill Bill 2 last night. It was ok but not as good as Vol.1 I don't think. More good fights and action in the first. It was more like an manga than the 2nd one.

One movie I really would like to see is "Coffee and Cigerettes". Has Bill Murray and Iggy Pop in it. Really cannot wait to see it:bounce
I would also like to see "The Stepford Wives" and the new "Spiderman" movie...

I want to see "Troy" and "The Village".
Other than that, I'm not sure...

See...the thing about Kill Bill 2 that splits it so much...the first one was way out of Quentin's normal vein of work...he is normally mostly dialogue and direction driven, where in the first, it was the action that drove it, and people that normally wouldn't like his style, loved that movie. Kill Bill 2 on the other hand, seemed like more of a return to normal Quentin, with genius dialogue, and just enough violence thrown in to keep the action title. I say that both are great, each in their own way, though I prefer the 2nd. As one movie (how it was originally to be) it would have been greater still.
Indeed - wait for the box set of one DVD

I can't wait for Dodgeball either - have you checked out the site? it is hilarious - the teaser clips are awesome!
My Fav this year was Starsky and Hutch, purely for sentimental reasons - I used to catch it straight after school
They did a good job, homage but also sending it up.
The best Film I have seen this year was on DVD - City of Ghosts the directorial debut of Matt Dillon - it is really good. A kind of Neo-noir set in Cambodia. It stars Matt, Stellan Skarsgard, James Caan and Gerard Depardiu (I Know!) That is a great cast and it shows.
Needless to say the people I watched it with didn;t get it but I thoroughly enjoyed it. He has great style
