View Full Version : Does vBulletin cost money?
I was just reminded in some strange way that Rodney spoke of upgrading the phorums, and I checked out the vBulletin.com site (Or whatever, im lazy and have a short-timed memory). And it seemed that the phorum costs money?!
Is that true?
Because I COULD make a profile, but im fed up with having to register all sorts of strange places.

Yes, it appears that a 1 year license to use the software costs $85, and it is $160 for an owner's license which gives indefinite usage time. This is priced based upon a single computer license of course I would assume.

phpbb2 is a good alternative to vBulletin for those who don't want to pay :)

i would reccomend Mercuryboard for free fourm software. its completley free, easy to download and itstall, has a great support fourm if you are having trouble, and you can make your own skins and hacks for the software. new releases come out all the time, so the software continues to be bigger and better. one of my good friends actually co-developed the software. check it out here (www.mercuryboard.com)
I do have a forum, and it is phpbb.
I just saw the new vBullitin v3 and thought it looked way better, and considered it, the trouble worth installing on my webspace.
I just cant understand why Rodney would pay for something he could get for free...
